I was sad that Micheal Jackson died at 50. And then Gary Coleman died at 42. D:
He was so young. But I heard he had pretty bad health, something with his kidneys.

That's true, but he died of a brain hemorrhage . And I agree with what he said in an interview clip that they showed on the CBS Evening News. He was angry that he wasn't given a chance to show the world that he could do more than play Arnold from "Diff'rent Strokes". Unfortunately, now we'll never know if he could.

most child actors get placed in a spot, as in once you arent that cute child actor you are worthless. some can get out of it but most cant. gary was one. also he had in the past few years been not doing to good with money and health from what i remember. because he had a divorice, a lawsuit, then he was in teh hospital a few times for other things.

Sadly he was going to be pretty limited regardless of his actual acting ability if only because of his size. Hollywood expects certain things of its actors, and a moderate height is one of them. I don't expect it to change, but I imagine there have been many, many quality actors out there that could've blown us away but weren't given the chance because they didn't look the part.

Tis a sad day, he'd been around for so long it's hard to believe he was only 42. It's really a shame he had to go so young.

He had the problem with his head before & some liver problems, but I at least enjoyed his sense of humor in other shows, such as the Simpsons. There was also the fact that his folks stole his money from Different Strokes. He had a lot to be angry about & that did not help his health. Either way it's sad.

I'm sad... Different Strokes was a fave child memory.

Also, I'm sad I won't ever get to film him in front of the building formerly known as the "Sears Tower" saying "Watchu talkin about Willis"

Gary has a kidney disease from birth, which was why he was short. Kidney diseases can stunt you. On top of that, he was on dialysis so he health was already compromised when he had that fall. So sad that he died so young, but at the same time it was almost expected with his already poor health.
