Dates for 2011 will be May 20-22 2011.
Location Hyatt Regency O'Hare, and Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

More locations to be added.

Staff from 2003 to 2010. Currently Retired.

Wow. I might be in trouble trying to go to ACen 2011. My sister's wedding is supposed to be May 21. Is it bad that I'm hoping she can't get the venue she wants for that date so she has to push her wedding back a week?

WOOT! I was planning for this before 2010 even came around >.<
I know that most of my roommates are returning
I know what I'm wearing
I know that I'm going to be out of school already
which MEANS that I'm looking into/contemplating staying THURS-SUN which is a big step for me because this year was the first time that I even put a room in my name so to have that extra amount on my shoulders scares me a little but all of my friends are saying "do eeeeeeet!"

I'm going to be there and am saving up money as we speak. When does the room blocks usually open, just for my reference? I want to make sure I get into the Hyatt. You do have to put one night down at the time of reservation right?

As far as the hole in the bank account, I completely agree. I want to try to get my own room this year. (Not that I don't like rooming with people, I LOVE it.... I just don't want to have to deal with potential damages.

Wait till the End of September, October or even November. That's when room block's for the Hyatt will begin to open. ^___^ And the first night stay deposit is usually around April, so you have no need to worry till April. But make sure to save though! That's what my boyfriend and I usually do.

I'm excited though, can't wait. I'm already putting some money away in my savings. And I want lots and lots of money!

Well, the ended up raising the rate for my room over what it was supposed to be. I ended up paying 604 for 3 nights. Sure, I scored enough Gold Pass points that I'll get a suite at Ohayocon next year, but still, I really did not want to pay that. Of the roughly 15 cons I go to in a year this is by far the most expensive for parking and a room, which the parking was an extra 45. I found out later people staying at other hotels got cheaper parking.

Unfortunately, that's not gonna happen. I wish! But there's no way she could afford it, plus a lot of the guests are elderly and being in a car for an hour probably wouldn't go over well. And they have officially set the date for May 21, 2011. Which means the rehearsal is going to be May 20. So I either go for a little bit on Friday and again on Sunday, just go on Sunday, or don't go at all. This sucks. And what sucks even more is that since I'm not going, my boyfriend probably won't be able to go either.
