What did you all do sitting in Line for the Soap Bubble.
I went with 3 people, magically gained 2 people then another that was part of a group of people in front of us and decided we were cooler. We were stuck on the outside near the last set of doors of the glass wall( Which later IRT told us that they were the DOORS of death) where the ballroom was. We went from making paper airplanes to eh a couple in the group stripping.........and APPARENTLY it was liked cause they had a girl come open the door and stuff a dollar in his mouth. lol but we came unprepared to stand in line, i found that i was cold and i was wearing the most clothes in the group so i dont even want to imagine. We did group hug/huddles to stay warm. I found that i enjoyed the line experience very much.

I was pedobear in line and i was standing with waldo and the crow so it was pretty Fun. Me and my friends were mainly yelling out Butt Scratcher!!! As people walked by and we were giving em fives

ooh, I wanted to go but I did see a lot of the people waiting. and on that note: BUTTSCRATCHAH. you guys kept me in good spirits, lol.

haha we were yelling the same thing. which ultimately turned into Cross Dresser!!! I saw waldo stripping with some of the ppl in line with me not sure if it was the same one.

I didn't stand in line... I went up and down the line hugging TONS of people and then cut about 95% of the line when I made my way back up. I feel kind of bad for cutting, but everybody got in pretty easily tho.

We avoided the line & waited for it to shrink. I went to a panel & saved a guest before dropping my stuff & joining my friends. By the time we got there, we only had to wait for the ok for all 4 of us to go in.

I just would like to say going to this con for 9 yrs and never going to the rave i am really sad that i missed past yrs this year a got dragged with some friends and i do not regret it at all was a HUGE topper to Acen and will def be coming back next yr

Just thought I'd pop in here and give everyone a crumby video I tipsily made of the 2010 Soap Bubble line. Most of it's pretty dark, but I'm pretty sure you can hear some BUTTSCRATCHAH! in there. I got A LOT of high fives and hugs while doing this. Also, there's a few videos of inside the rave for anyone curious about what it's like in the crowd (i.e. frickin incredibly awesome).

Well I tripped while running with another girl to get to the end, I was injured (2 scraped palms, knees ,plus bruised, and could barely walk but I'm fine now). I was at the end then moved up to the side then the line started to get longer and wider by 9pm. I saw no form of security after that and by 11pm me, my friend and two other girls moved a head in line, lost our two tall body guards then found them again in the line inside. Next time we will get there earlier to avoid the back.

Haha I just started texting people since I had my phone on me and shivering. Next time I'm going to see if I can get people to go with me because waiting in line by yourself is not as much fun I got in line about the time it was supposed to start and only had to wait outside for like 35 minutes

Oh. God. My line experience....

My friend and I stood in front of a guy who was kind enough to hold our spot while we ran to change, but when we came back we realized standing next to him was mistake. At first he started asking a few people for hugs and highfives. Ok. 'No big deal' we thought. FALSE. Pretty soon we started hearing something along the lines of "highfivehugs?!" every SINGLE time someone walked by.

If this is you, please, please, for the sake of others in line, contain yourself. There's nothing wrong with just raising your hand for a high five. Thank you.

the line is one of the best parts of the rave xD
last year, my group ended up around the side of the building where they were playing question and answer games
we ended up winning a case of ramune and splitting it between ourselves and the girls in front of us
(half of those people being new to ramune, so it was an experience for them!)
...then we danced in line with random men.....

Year before last, I waited in line for no less than an hour in a mini skirt and short sleeve. Needless to say, I was an icicle by the time I got in. ;3; Last year though, I ended up avoiding all of that since I was helping with line control inside the Hyatt and then door control inside the rave. Looking forward to the line this year. Can't wait to see what silly things might take place.

Standing in line for Soap Bubble last year was too fun...i was "that guy" at about 11:30 who was shouting "Everyone!! We just moved up like..9 feet!!" and everyone would go crazy.

I remember getting right in at 1am in '08 and then in '09 I went around 1:30am and the line was down the block so I ended up just going to the YAOI video room. I REALLY want to go this year, but I'm worried about how long the wait in line will be.

Does it move along pretty fast? Would you recommend a certain time to start getting in line? What would you say is the average waiting time, depending on how long the line is or what time you go? Would you recommend bringing a friend or two to stand in line with you?

Yes on the friend things unless you make friends with the people next to you, cuz being line could be from 1 hour to 3 hours i'm not 100% sure cuz I don't remember that far back right now... But I want to say I usually leave about 9 o clock and thats enough time to be pretty far back in the line I believe someone said they don't let people get in line till an hour beforehand and if you just mingle around the outside of the con you should notice when it happens cuz one min there will be no one the next like 20 billion people in line. And the time really depends on how long people stay in the dance, unless they don't meet the cap for the room then it's just a breeze going through the line.

all of the storie I've heard about waiting time in the lines have me a bit worried. It's my first year at Acen and it sounds as if I'll be in lines the entire time.

Thank you! I really appreciate your feedback. I feel a little better and I think I'll try getting in this year, that is if they don't have a yaoi panel going on late otherwise I'm going to that.

As for waiting in lines the entire time: some panels and events are really popular so there will be a line, like the masquerade, soap bubble, Who's Line is it Anime?, the hentai and yaoi video rooms, autographs, and some hantai and yaoi panels, etc., but don't focus on those lines. Just enjoy the atmosphere and make the very best time of it, even if you do end up standing in line and if you don't want to stand in line, there's plenty of other stuff to do. If it's something I REALLY want to get into, then I wait, but otherwise I just walk the halls and find something else fun to do.
