For things like the Soap Bubble you can always try to skip over the initial wait by going to a panel and checking up on the status of the line when its over this could make it potentially not have a line at all. I've never really had a line where it was so unbearable that I just said screw it and left, usually with firends or people it makes it at least tolerable.

As for waiting in lines the entire time: some panels and events are really popular so there will be a line, like the masquerade, soap bubble, Who's Line is it Anime?, the hentai and yaoi video rooms, autographs, and some hantai and yaoi panels, etc., but don't focus on those lines. Just enjoy the atmosphere and make the very best time of it, even if you do end up standing in line and if you don't want to stand in line, there's plenty of other stuff to do. If it's something I REALLY want to get into, then I wait, but otherwise I just walk the halls and find something else fun to do.

At 7:00 on Friday before HS starts some of us rave toy people are getting together to share moves, meet each other and try to make it so that the people swinging around toys are doing so in a manner that stays controlled so that we don't have to worry about people walking through our space or worry about moving around people.

So if you enjoy any kind of light or toy manipulation(Poi, Staff, Doublestaff, Juggling, Contact Juggling, Levi-stick and so on) come join us

Depending on how things are going we will decide when to meet Saturday if we want to meet before the soapbubble as well

Man I hope this wasn't me
Pretty sure it wasn't me thought cuz I never held anyone's spot besides my classmates as he went back to get his badge.

But is it really that annoying to do something like that? I was just trying to keep my spirits up while waiting in line. I went to line up at about 8:30, so I had a while to wait and not to mention that I was at the back of the hotel.
The people around me didn't seem to hate either seeing as most of them laughed and joined along with me.
Anyways my apologizes if I annoyed anyone during the line for SoapBubble this year
