I connected with soooo many people with my pokewalker it was fun.

so, who all had pokewalkers and did u connect with a lot of people?

For how long I was going to be walking around with a Shaymin plushie, I didn't even think about putting my shaymin in my pokewalker! I should have!

I did connect with a lot of people, though. And a lot of people asked me "What's with the tomagochi pokewalker things? What, can you people like... battle with them or something?"

My friend's pissed off that he only took his out starting Saturday afternoon. Had I known about the fanbase, I would have picked up Gold/Silver myself just for this weekend.

After connecting to the first 10 people, the pokéwalker gets 99 watts a connect (each watt is equal to 20 steps), with apparent, a max of 9999 watts (so about 200,000 steps), so, its a very high number you don't generally reach in regular useage since you constantly dump watts to the game card.

From Thursday, starting at 0 watts, I hit 9999 on Saturday evening... quite a bit of connections...

WOW! I knew there were going to be tons of people with pokéwalkers so I brought mine - then I misplaced it somewhere in all my luggage/artist alley stuff and didn't get to use it once the whole weekend. ><; My boyfriend had his though and connected with everyone he saw - he says he got somewhere over 4000 watts. =D

This year was extremely fun pokemon-wise
with the release of pokemon heartgold-soulsilver everyone was in a frenzy with pokemon fever, I had never had as much fun as this year because of it to meet new people for only a couple of seconds was fun and ill have funbattling you all at the viridian trainer house

it was espesially fun to see everyones pokemon and their repective names. it was funny to see peoples reactions to my blaziken nicknamed "TheFunk" because when it connected all it said was "TheFunk has arrived"

i agree, it was great to see everyone's pokemon nicks.
i think it was very funny how i encountered everyone, it seemed like my pokewalker was a lost treasure or something....i had lotsa fun

If I'm in your trainer house all my party pokemon should be nicknamed.

Yeah, me and Girlfriend got about the same amount. Each of us got at LEAST 8000 watts. It was awesome.

My boyfriend brought his but couldn't connect with people until Saturday because he couldn't use his arms on Friday (because of his costume). He was really sad about that, so he was super happy to be out of costume all day Saturday JUST so he could connect. Just from Saturday and part of Sunday, he collected 7000+ watts. He had misplaced his DS before the con so he couldn't unload anything until we got home, so he didn't really get anything BUT watts, lol.

I ran in to a lotta Pokewalkers over the con... then again I was dressed as Caterpie so I got asked a lot if I had one. Ironically, I was Yellow Forest, 17,000 steps, and not a /single/ flying-surfing 'chu captured. XD

BUT OH GOD SO MANY THUNDERSTONES.

I had no idea what was going on until like late Saturday or Sunday! It makes me a little sad, and now I feel compelled to get one even though people in the real world probably won't want to connect. ;_;

yeah so upon getting to Viridian City and going to the Trainer house and battling some of the people i connected with, i saw that my team definitly sucked, but im still training

they're basically pedometers lol and they look like a pokeball
and what you do is connect it with your DS with either soulsilver or heartgold,
send a pokemon to it, and you walk with it and it gathers "watts" that you use to
catch pokemon in the pokewalker, or find items

theres lots of different paths that you unlock by how many steps you walk
and you can catch different types of pokemon on them

the cool thing is you can connect with other people's pokewalkers, and the pokemon
play together and exchange items or watts

that's pretty much the pokewalker, hope it helped ^^

Think of the old Pokemon Pikachu pedometers they used to make, less many of the gaming features, but you can put any pokemon on it. Mine is a Lopunny named Yuki ^^

i had a pokewalker and i conected with lots of people and i had about 1000 watts at the end of the first day.
