Seeing since FF8 is Square-Enix is post-FF8... FF 8 is considered in my opinion Squaresoft... Otherwise you must include all of Enix's old games and trust me Enix had many more annoying characters...

Also I can debate you that Enix games had more.

If you want to be honest, most people who bellyache about FF7 (BAAAW BAAAAW!!! Cloud and sephiroth aren't that cool BAAAAAAAW) they are square made characters. So I would technically include square games since it's mostly Square who makes the characters that people hate so much.

Sides Enix has more awesome characters in my opinion. But then again I'm biased. Tri-Ace is one of my favorite companies, and they usually worked with Enix before the merge. And Enix's flagship series, DQ, didn't have much in the way of deep characters, so many people can't count any as annoying.

Although I AM curious to who you think is annoying on Enix's side.

Are all of you forgetting that was the character ridden wasteland of 12? Vaan? He was just there to tag along, he had no story. Penelo? Same.

I'd also have to pick Quistis from FF8. Why only Quistis? Her snotty attitude towards the beginning of the game just gives me a sour thought about her for the rest of the game. She stays the hell out of my party. Her whip sucks and she has no magic.

Cloud from FF7 (and just about every other game he plays a part in), as well as Yuffie. Cloud has to be pretty retarded (annoying) to 'lose himself' in the game, and Yuffie has no story or no reason to be there.

Quina and Amarant from FF9 were pretty annoying as well. Amarant just sat there calling Zidane out on everything he did and being a big jerkhole about it. Quina just wanted to eat everything.

As someone said from IV, Palom and Porom are at the top of the list there.

From 13, I'd have to say Hope and Vanille, darn kids. Vanille just doesn't know how to keep her mouth closed for the majority of the game and Hope sits there whining and being emo about everything else. Snow has that 'bad-boy' attitude about him but never really annoyed me as much as those two did.

To FF12's credit, at least the game had Balthier and Basch.

Also, Hope grows a pair later on in 13.

It's not a question about his singing. It's the fact that we had to sit and play a horriable DDR rip off while listining to it instead of actually fighting or doing anything. That's what people hate.

I can attest to this. Had to mute the game during that part because my forehead hurt from facepalming so much. It was actually more playable without sound.

Also, I'm curious-- what is it about FF9's story that constitutes as "bad" in your eyes? I guess it's your own opinion, we're all entitled to our own. I felt the game got the whole concept of an alternate reality right, unlike FF8 and FFX's ridiculous attempts. But hey. Opinions.

also sometimes in parasite eve 2 aya brea would annoy the crap out of me. i liked her a lot in parasite eve but in 2 they just made her a pain...

oh oh and chrono cross i cant name all 50 of them but there were times i wanted to murder kidd she had bit too much punk arse kid in her at points.

I loved both FF8 and FF9. :'D Yay for being noncommittal!

I only played about five minutes total of FFXIII, but I have already gained a strong
hatred for Hope and even Snow (I thought I was going to like him!). He just seems
like he's trying too hard to be a jack@$$. :/ I also thought I'd like Vanille, but she
just got on my nerves. Her and that accent that comes and goes as it pleases... On
the other hand, I loved the hell out of Sazh. :X He seemed to be the only one with a
brain.

I'm not gonna say Tidus, because it was Lake Macarena that made me love him. Anyone
that can make me roll on the floor laughing because of their stupidity gets brownie points.

Let's try something not FF. Don't let this guy deceive you. He's annoying as s$%^.

Oh snap, I forgot about Snow. I hate that guy with a fierce passion. Hope was on that list, but he stopped being the rabid fangirl and fanboy (post ff 7) poster boy, and became, somewhat interesting.

Snow is just annoying. Serah this, Serah that, and preaching about being a hero to an emo teen who is obviously spreading hate vibes. Silly Snow, your character is just lame. And his over "Knight in shining armor" bits is the topping of the cake. It's not manly, it's romantic comedy bad.

I just wanted to add Snow didn't have that bad boy attitude at all. He is the opposite actually, which makes him annoying. He is the kinda guy who might make gullible guys believe stuff like that gets teh ladies. lol Dude is just annoying.
