Are you gals on birth control pills? I'm on Seasonale (you get a period every 3 months with it). Otherwise, if you're just on regular pills, stack 'em and take the pills the week of Acen, when you would normally take the sugar pills, and then just have your period the week after.

I am definitely hoping for no Crimson Tide during ACen. I am scheduled to the hilt so it shouldn't be an issue... but who knows?

I feel like there is potential for a cosplay here... FEW (Flow Emergency Woman): Complete with medicine, tampons, stain remover stick, and double-sided tape for when things don't exactly fit the same during the convention...

I know I'd be worried about the top of my Sailor Star Fighter costume if I have my period during the con.

Every year I worry I'll be stuck with it over Acen and every year I've been miraculously spared. (Not so for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas unfortunately.) I'm conscientious enough to keep supplies on hand; it's the damn bloating that makes me shiver in terror, thinking that a cosplay I'm planning to wear might be screwed over because my belly will refuse to fit in the waistband. @__@ (I don't think it'd be all bad if I had to wallow around Acen menstruating though. Honestly, my skin is at its clearest at the beginning of my period and I do like not looking like a pizza all the time . . .)

I'm getting to the tail-end of this month's, so if all goes well I should be blood-free and zit-ridden again this year.

I sew hidden spots on my cosplays to store tampons Stress make your period come sooner than schedule. Calm down or the "hunt for red october" will find you at ACen!

Thanks to birth control, my period will not be on ACen.Shortly after, but not during.And for some reason I don't bloat or swell with my medication.Not noticeably anyway.

Well, I wasn't spared for my birthday coming up on Monday, but I'm spared for the con. Which is good, considering I only have one pair of white leggings for my cosplay and that would NOT be a pleasant thing to try and fix if an accident happened...

I'm supposed to get mine the week of acen, which would suck because my costume has white tights T.T but hopefully it'll be one of the weird months where i don't actually get it. With the pill, some months i get it, and others i don't.

Is it just me or do any of you guys use a period tracker? I just used one and it said that mine should come tomorrow or this week. If it does, It won't come during Acen or it will just be light which I'm okay with.

I don't use any sort of existing tracker because I'm horribly irregular. (Some months it never happens. Sometimes they're two weeks apart.) However, I just make a note of dates myself. If everything's timely this time around - and I suspect it is, since I'm starting to get a migraine and nasty panic attacks, which are my version of PMS - I should get it a little too soon to have it bothering me at con. Which is good, since once again I'm wearing thin pale yellow satin pants on one day. (Of course, last time I wore that costume, it came really late, the night before I was supposed to wear that costume...)

My last one started on March 27th, so I'm basically dreading it during acen.

I kind of hope that it starts before the con rather than during it. The last thing I need is to find out 3 hours after I've started because there's blood all over my costume

the pill has done wonders for me where the subject of aunt flo pertains, but my period week starts next thursday...however I don't get my period til maybe Sunday. So it's all good :3

Exactly what I'm planning on doing xD

I was on Seasonique, but if I missed even one pill in the middle I'd be stuck spotting for 2-3 weeks Not fun at all. Back to normal pills for me

Clearly my body wanted to get rid of all the misery a week in advance, because (TMI, as if this whole thread isn't already) I don't think I've bled that hard in my entire life... I was practically bedridden yesterday (yet couldn't sleep due to pain and tension) due to the migraines and stuff that goes along with it these days, and if I hadn't for once been exactly on schedule, I think I would have gone to the emergency room. :/ If things had been that bad at con, I don't know what I would've done...

But the good news is, that means I'll definitely be done by next week, and the fact I'm already starting to feel better suggests that all the nasty PMS-stuff is likely to clear up quickly too. Back to finishing costume...

Ladies it's that time of year again when we start to wonder weather we will be free or held back by this? With ACen being one month away I might have it since I'm starting this week. Who knows right? Hopefully I don't have during ACen I have been tracking it for a while and I'm cutting it close.

I'm glad I saw this thread so I could check! I remember my first year cosplaying was marred by mother nature's little 'gift' and it was very unpleasant :\. Thankfully, BC is amazing so I know when I'm due every month and this year, I am in the clear .
