I had an idea in my head that might be a bit crazy but yet possibly useful. I think we should have like a centralized thread requesting cosplayers to join their cosplay groups. For example my inu yasha group has all the characters but i still need a rin and sesshoumaru and a naraku. and i could post a request here with a link to my thread and the names of the characters cosplay needed. does anyone agree to this idea? or is it kinda lame... let me know.

This is actually a really good idea. Groups typically get more pictures taken of them unless there is a singular person with an absolutely amazing costume, or it's a character that the photographer personally likes. It's a great idea--so not lame!

This would be a good way to get people who are going ACen solo to meet some new people, and put them in a position to get more pictures of themselves taken if that's what they're looking for out of the con. [And I don't want that to sound narcissistic, but I know that it makes a lot of people feel good to know that others appreciate the work they put into their cosplays by taking pictures. ]

I don't think that's narcissistic at all. Most of the people I know love getting recognition for their costumes (mself included). You're putting all this time and effort into recreating a character you love! <3

Also, I agree that this is a very good idea for a thread.

Exactly! I don't cosplay all that often, but I most defiantly appreciate the people who do. The cosplay costumes and being able to get pictures is one of my favorite parts of a convention! So much amazingness all in one place...and it's anime and gamer heaven...gah, I love anime conventions! ^^;

The gathering, according to the schedule, says that its going to be Saturday @ 3:30 at the loading docks left. We should be there unless the fashion show gets out late...I'll be in it so I don't know when it is going to start or end yet. =(

srsly though, i think it would be pretty fun. and not anything too difficult.

^there was already a huge sp cosplay thread a month or two ago.
most people aren't going to really get excited and deciding things like that until closer to the con, next year.
