I was just wondering how people carry things on there person when it is soo hard to find places to put things on your cosplay costume. DO you all just bring bags wwith or tie things into the costume?

Well you can do a few things actually...

Depending on the costume I would make little pockets in them but if you cant I'd bring a light drawstring backpack so if someone wants a photo you just set it down next to you. Another good idea is a necklace pouch that hangs low so you cant see it.

Another idea is to use the acen badge holder. You can fit your ID and money in it =3

Would this work for this year though?

The necklace/pouch is probably the best idea since many cosplays have such items already worked into them. But this also leads me to think of a new merchandising opportunity... $_$

Maybe make use of past ones? Those worked out fine for the last few years.

Or you can design a bag that would be perfect for your character, that would fit your characters personality.
"Humans are more arrogant and greedy, then any other living creature, and I am part human to, which is why I refuse to give up. On top of that...when a human has someone he has to protect, his power grows exponentially...I have what it takes to destroy you...all thanks to my human mother!!"

Thats a great idea. You could also go through artbooks because sometimes theres alternative designs for the character and they may have bags.

Having a small pouch/bag thats about the size of an id and cash is the best way to go.
I made a small pouch with my fav anime character on it that fits my id, cash, and inhaler. I put clip on the zipper the kind you would use for your keys and so it hooks to just about anything and any cosplay. I can even hide it somwhere under any cosplay so it doesn't show in pics. Not only do I use it for cons but just about everyday when I don't feel like carrying a purse. ^_^
Acen10cosplays:(Trinity Blood)Esther Blanchett,(Bleach)Nel resleased form,(KH2)Card form Sora,(Code Geass)Li Xingke,(FMA)Edward decoy
Acen11 Cosplays:FMA:Brotherhood-LanFan,Gravitation-Shuichi,Fruits Basket-Shigure,Avatar-Toph All cosplays are complete!:)

I have a leather pouch that I use for Ren Fair. It should go well with the costume. It has that old timey feeling.

Also think about small camera or cellphone type cases that will slide on to a belt. They would probably be close enough to your body not to stick out and get in the way, but also be securely fastened so they don't get knocked off or lost. There are also undergarment pouches and things like leg wallets designed for use by travellers (money belts).

You may find something cheap at a resale shop that was designed for older larger phones/cameras that will fit your stuff easily. Get something with a flap that you can secure.

My opinions. Not official.

Who sells these money belts?

I have seen travel wallets and the like at Target, WalMart, and the like. Or you may need to go to a luggage store or travel specialty store. Also seen some in those Carol Wright type mail-order catalogs so probably findable on-line or eBay. Sometimes they show up in resale shops or rummage sales. Or try freecycle.org.

Depending on what you are wearing you *may* be able to get by with a small, thin, belted "butt pack" under a layer of clothing.

I just had a vision of a girl wearing big cargo pocketed pants under her oh so short skirt...

My personal (strange) thoughts

I would so do that. XD I love cargo pants. Pockets rule hardcore.

Youve got something with the phone/camera case though! I used that a few years ago and mine even has a pocket in the front for the rope attatched but you can still use it for other things.

How about one of those "hunters" or "photographers" vests that are next to nothing BUT pockets? New Soap Bubble fashion statement? And in bright colors (like hunter orange) so they don't get confused with the IRT vests...

:P
