my score was 71/101.
it's pretty fun: you have about 15 mins to name as many of the 101 anime openings
in this youtube video based on a few seconds from each one.
what're your scores? they're also based on memorable anime from each time period
from the beginning up to right now.

I got 44/101. I didn't really watch anime in the early 2000's so that's where I got hit the worst

According to them , 48, but I'm saying 62 based on the fact that it was being a stickler on full titles vs. What most fans call it and slightly bad spelling on a few of them.

Though some of them need better name detection on the series. I found myself having to look up spelling a couple of times and for the very last one, its really particular and adds the number 2 on the end of the title despite the fact that I can not find any evidence that that is the official name of the series.

Then I'm kinda upset at myself for missing a couple other easy ones. And then sometimes I was like god I know that art style...just start naming things from that studio, haha.

Overall though was fun, thanks for sharing.

66 officially, but I'm counting 67. I got Tsubasa dammit! >.< Somehow I got 27/34 of the pre-2000 ones. The newer ones were actually the ones that got me, especially in the last 4 years. That's really weird because I prefer the newer ones too...

I know the series you are talking about, and that's completely true. I was like, "Okay, it's the second season, it has a different name...?" Also ditto on everything else you said. One theme I was actually able to recognize the artist (ALI PROJECT) but not the series.

I should've gotten 79/100, it picked up some partial names but spelling was annoying. Ended up with 68/100.

I uh, got all of them. Hilariously enough, I've only seen maybe half of them. A lot of them I know through friends or randomly watching the first few eps at friends' houses. Some of them I know through icons that people have had. Others I know through people talking about them.

But I still feel like I need to get out from in front of my computer now.

Regardless of how you did it, it is impressive. There are definitely a couple obscure things in there, though the bulk of it is stuff that you have likely at least heard of.

I didn't really think any of them were obscure, but then this comes from someone who's friend has basically every single anime that's ever come out here on dvd. He makes me watch a lot of older series a lot, and I always watch tons of new stuff... so it evens out quite a bit. ^^; A lot of the older series are his favorites, a lot of the newer series are my favorites, and a lot of the ones that I hate (like Haruhi ) are so popular that it doesn't even matter.

Missed a lot of the more recent ones, mostly because I don't watch mech or moe/shojo anime.

I'd consider a couple of those from the 60s and 70s fairly obscure. I'm also surprised by the lack of Matsumoto listed.

Does the fact that I got an 81 count if I got it by doing it over and over again because I refused to give up until I had named every single anime I knew in that video (I kept blanking on names that I should have known and it bugged the heck out of me)? <.<...>.>

What bugged me was that, on one hand, it was super picky in that it expected me to remember how to spell "Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles," rather than just accepting "Tsubasa" as my answer, but at the same time, it was accepting acronyms like GTO, FMA and FMAB.

It allowed Tsubasa Chronicle (not even Chronicles, it put it on the list after the e ), and yet it wouldn't accept FMA Brotherhood. There were just a whole lot of weird things with it.

Personally, I only took the thing once, but I think it should count as long as you know what the anime were. Like when people forget the exact spelling (my one friend can't spell saint seiya right, apparently xD ). I also dislike how it's so picky with a lot of the names when the person couldn't even spell Chrono correctly for the list. o.o

O.o really? all I had to do was type "FMAB" and it accepted it...

I was so happy when I saw Saint Seiya, though. It's so under appreciated here in the US...

*cough* that could be because it's spelled "Gurren Lagann" not "Gurren Lagaan" >.> It worked for me...

76 out of 101 - though some of them were guesses, lol. Aside from the 60s and 70s, I was doing well until I hit 2005. Still, I got more than I thought, but I'm not sure if that's good or bad. ^_^;;

It is indeed a tricky thing with Chr(o)no Crusade. It was a typo on someone's part (some have stated the manga-ka, others the publisher), but wiki states that the publisher apologized for the typo in the recent re-releases so I guess we can call it their fault.
