Panel Approved, But Badge Bought

Question, guys...

I'm going to be co-hosting a panel at ACEN that was just moved up from the Tentative list, and I went ahead and bought my badge earlier because I wasn't sure we would get in. I was unaware at the time that you were going to protect both the mailing option and the original prices for badges once panels were approved.

According to the FAQ, I suppose I'm out of luck at getting reimbursed for the cost of that badge, but I figured I'd ask and find out if anyone else got fed up with waiting and splurged early to avoid "complications" at con....

I went ahead and bought my badge back last year when it was 40 dollars encase my panel didn't get approved. It was on the approved tentative list for a long while waiting to get placed.. and then it was all of the sudden denied. i am the "plus sized cosplay"

You may want to email the registration team directly, if you haven't already. For the future, there's a system in place for denied panelists who don't purchase badges to still get them past the due date.

Anything dealing with Registration and Badge refunds etc, can only be answered by our registration department. They have a Forum with all the info on it as well. They also are floating around our boards too, so you might get an answer here.

Ok, sorry for the long wait time with getting out of work early I needed to handle a few things.

There are NO refunds for panelists that were approved that paid for a badge

There is a prompt saying do not pay for your badge when you click "pay" on the registration page if you are to be a complimentary or panelists.

Fair enough, but next year do try to let people know sooner. All the information wasn't available when I paid.

I guess the lowest tier pricing is a small gamble for avoiding the risk of linecon if not approved to host a panel. It is nice to have the badge now rather than worrying about whether or not I can get it mail ordered, etc.

I know you guys took care of all this stuff, but at the time I wasn't sure that was the case. Anyways, thanks for getting back to me.
