So I was just wondering whose has ate at this restaurant and who wants to? With it being just a few blocks down from the convention center it is a good place to get a good meal. I know many of the attendee's have a budget and a $40 meal will not fit in it, but one of the reasons I go is to enjoy the great food Chicago has to offer. I wouldn't mind getting a group to go on Friday of the con.

If it was a lunch time group i would be interested the menu looks excellent! If not maybe we could plan for next year for sure

I live in Columbus. As of yet I haven't tried Digger and Finch. Have you tried Ruth's Chris steakhouse? I did take a look at the menu for Capital grille. The last two years I ate at Gibson's which is just across the street from the convention center and they have great food. I just wanted to try something new this year. I think I can drag Rondo, Flyingelf, and Giveuptheghost along with me and would like to get e few more for dinner sometime between 7 and 10.

No i have not been to that one yet, though i have been to J. Gilbert's have you tried them?

Was Gibson's good? I might have to try that on one of my Acen trips Fridays always seem so busy so it would be hard to commit to dinner plans with a group, but I'll ask my friends that I'm coming in with. It would be easier once i see the panel, and event schedule for Friday to i can plan accordingly. I hate missing something i might enjoy or want to attend, since I am going mainly for Acen this year. When would you want an answer by? or will you be there Thursday for the Meet and Greet? A bigger group would be easier once everyone knows there schedules for the weekend

Yes I have tried Gilberts. Gibson's is a great steakhouse you should try it one year. I will be at the meet on Thurs. We have until the con to figure out who all will be able to go for dinner so no real hurry.

I've eaten there a few times. But like you said, definitely not people with a budget xD. The Lobster Mac n Cheese is good :x.

Not sure that I'm doing hentai wars this year. I haven't been asked to be on the panel yet and I have been asked to be on "Your Favorite Anime Sucks" which is also typically on friday night, so I very well may be doing that this year instead.

8:30 is perfect. It allows people who want to attend that panel to do so and then not have to worry to much about rushing from their straight to the restaurant. Not to mention its not so late that youll be eating at 10pm lol

So 8:30 will be the official time which is good because the restaurant is a little distance from the hotel.

If you go by mapquest, it is a half mile down the street. So about a seven minute walk.
