Playstation Move Announced not a new consol

So from what I saw, if they do it correctly, I think theres a possibility that PS3 could overthrow the Wii with this. it comes out this fall and there was an announcement that itll have a bundle pack with an eye toy for under $100. I've got high hopes for this especially because the motion control works how Wii's motion controller was supposed to. You actually have to do the motions instead of flicking your wrist back and forth. It's going to be great for fighters but they're also incorporating it for shooters which they used SOCOM 4 as an example. I'm not really big on shooters and I don't think it'll do so well for games like that, maybe your opinion is different. They also plan on incorporating its use with existing games, like LBP, it looks much easier to use rather than using that poppet for the level creator.
So lets hear what you guys have to say about it

I'm not as wowed by the motion controls on the Wii as I was four years ago, so while I do enjoy playing with that control scheme, it's not a deciding factor anymore when buying a game. If Sony plans on releasing the games that use the Move with traditional control as well, that's even less incentive for me to buy it. I suppose if it was a Move-only game that was REALLY amazing it might pique my interest.

Oh Sony! You think of everything, dontcha!?
I honestly loved Sony with the playstation and PS2. I don't have the money for a PS3 but if I did I would prob buy one but c'mon. Its obvious they are trying to copy the wii and the 360 with project natal (which is going to be extremely freakkkin creepy). They just want to branch out and do what all the other guys are doing. They should try being original and make something we havent seen before.

Oh I'm sure it could be done, but console is only one part of that equation; without 3D TVs, they're just wasting their time.

I did get Guitar Hero and was willing to shell out the extra money for it. Was not interested in the balance board or DJ Hero at all. I will wait and see what this new accessory might bring to my table.

Who even had those things for the PS2!? I never actually saw one before. Now something they should look into is the awesome n64 pokemon sticker maker. Booyah!

Mmm Natal staff seemed like the really really liked the Eye toy for the ps2 (and also ps3). I wouldn't say they are coping, im pretty sure its company has its ideals for motion control and nintendo just used it to base it off their system.
Either way, Why complain people? Its not like Sony is MAKING us buy the addition. Its there if we want to buy it.
Ill probably eventually get it if theres an awesome swords game coming out with it.

More money spent on a side-project like the Move = less money spent on useful things, like game development, network infrastructure upgrades, etc.

Not going to complain, just joke about how this is going to be a hilarious failure, like 3D Television. People are not going to buy a peripherial only to be used for a minority of games at a high price without even a decent packaged in game.....
Nintendo makes their peripherials sell by packaging some of their best games with them, and the different levels of compatability with their products..... Playstation is announcing this, so long after the technology has been available, and giving no incentive to buy.

The question I'd ask is, why? Why work on an idea that's been done (albeit making it better) rather than some that's actually innovative?
That's why Nintendo wins points over Sony or Microsoft. That's why they're still a heavy hitter: specs, power, and capacity isn't everything.
