My brother just got his badge, so now we both have our badges. ^^ Yay! Now the last thing I need to do is help get my friend's badge when we go to the con.
But yeah, needless to say, my brother is going to be happy to see the badge envelope sitting by his computer when he comes home from Anime Milwaukee. XD

Anyone that is getting a complimentary badge from a friend/family member on the ACen staff:
-You get your badge AT the convention, they are not mailed.
-You get your badge FROM the person that is comping you, not from registration.
-Remember when you are wearing that comp badge you are representing that staffer, so if you get in trouble they do as well.

I was confused as to what it was at first; getting lots of "GO TO MY COLLEGE FJKLDSJFKSDJ:FJ" mail, until I read who it was from.
I got kind of excited, but I was still upstairs, so I waited until I was downstairs and I flailed like a mad woman xD
Think of the motion as a Magikarp performing "splash." xD
I like the new style and I don't.
I find the one hole in the middle to be a bit annoying, I used safety pins to keep it in my jacket last year and the two holes on either side kept it from flipping are just being annoying...I also felt like a secret agent whenever I opened my coat
I also think it's shape is just a bit unappealing; too wide.
Though, I like the design and I really like the text on it and that story was a great touch
I also like the fact that they're more durable and less likely to be destroyed by water xD
haha, either way I got my badge and that's all that matters
Right now, I'm kind of chill about it, but as the date gets closer, I know I'm going to get more and more giddy xD
Oh, I made a "strap" for it with that plastic craft string, it turned out pretty nice.
I'm really afraid I'll lose it, so it's just hanging on my bulletin board until May, lol

Oh, I know there is, but I like to make my own things for the badge :]
I think it gives them an air of ownership and individuality.
Like, when people get there or even before, they add pins and other badges to the lanyard. I might just have a lot of different straps on it so I can hang it anywhere xD
haha, I really like the style too, actually. That text really made me love it too >w<

I just registered a little over a week ago (if not like a week ago exactly) and I got my (and my friend's) badges in the mail today. Holy snap, Acen. Way to be on your toes this year. I remember Acen 08 and the epic badge mailing fail. This is a huge leap forward. You're alright, Acen...you're alright.
