Hey, guys! Like the titles says, I'm trying for find a character that I can cosplay for the Sunday of the weekend of ACen.

I want to cosplay someone easy..someone that I can easily make a closet cosplay with, but here are some of my standards:

1) I really want to cosplay someone who is similar in appearance as me. Height doesn't quite matter, because if I choose a taller person, I could easily be a chibi version of that character. (Oh, you can see how I look like in my icon and profile picture). I am about 4'11'' in height (just saying ). I have shoulder-length black hair, but I have a black wig that makes my hair about Xion/Yuffie length. I have dark brown eyes, but I own blue, gray, and honey-colored contacts.
2) I don't want to spend too much money on this character. I will gladly go to the thrift store for some pieces, though. I don't want to dye my hair for just that one Sunday either, 'cause it'd be a waste since I'm not staying the entire day, and wigs are too expensive for me too purchase. If the character calls for a hair color with just highlights or something, I'll do it.
3) I want to avoid school uniform and cat-eared characters, if you know what I mean by that. I also want to avoid ordinary-looking outfits (i.e., Love Hina, White Album, etc). If the character wears multiple normal-looking outfits in the anime, then I don't want to cosplay them. I actually want to look like I'm cosplaying rather than just being a random bystander xDDD. However, if the character wears the same outfit in every episode and is still someone ordinary looking, I might think about it, since the outfit is uhh...how do I say it...trademark? xDD (i.e., Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni)
4) NO, I WILL NOT COSPLAY AS L FROM DEATH NOTE. I don't want to look lazy, people. xDDD.

Okay...first of all, just because you are an L cosplayer it does not make you lazy. Yes there are some that are thrown together but then there are the ones that do an amazing job and have the mannerisms down. Dont just knock a cosplay because it 'seems easy'. Secondly, there is no 'easy' cosplay that is fantastic. All great cosplays take time, even closet cosplays. My advice to you would be to go through your fav anime/video game series and see if any characters are similar to you. There is an anime char database online where you can look up characters by their hair/eye color and whatnot. Maybe try looking at that. Good luck and hopefully you can finish before acen! =3

If you really like the character, making the cosplay will be funner! And fun makes things seem easier.

I second Ska_Toranpetta, and I also think you can go through a list of your favorite video game and pick a character from there. Try not to go for "easy" when describing or choosing your cosplay idea; instead, think of what would be your favorite or really fun to work on. Good luck!

I agree, it's about 100x more fun if you pick someone you really like
rather than just a random character. I'll try to help you out, though,
if you really don't care who you'd be~

Based on your appearance/standards, you could go with Ash from Pokemon!,
or we could always use another Sebastian (on the right) in our Kuroshitsuji group~! ^^

Some other characters I can think of off the top of my head are:
- Miyu or Mayu from Fatal Frame II
- Ninon Beart (Alternate Colors) from King of Fighters MI:2
- Garnet from FF9

@Ska - I dunno, I guess I just see waaay to many L's at convention. xDDD. I'm pretty good at putting together closet cosplay. All my cosplay so far has been closet cosplay. My Haruhi Suzumiya costume was closet cosplay and was started and finished the weekend before the convention xDDD.

@Aiko - I am a pretty big Fata Frame fan. My major accesory will be a camera, though. I guess I could go to the thrift store to find a cheap one . And I agree with simonsaz. Ninon's oufits are LOVELY .

Oh, has anyone heard of the Tales of Series? My friend wanted me to get into the series, and since I haven't played it yet and therefore have no knowledge of it, does anyone know any good characters from that series I can cosplay?

Oh, her costume seems easy enough. I could easily get some stuff from my local thrift store for it...maybe I'll think about it.

I'm in love with the wai-loli (sp?) types of tops. I think one day I'm going to totally sew one for myself.
