Random, but what is your favorite baking or cooking ingredient?

Mine are Vanilla Extract, Oregano, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Brown Sugar, and Baileys Irish Cream!

Oooo, for cooking, mine is so totally coriander and blackening seasoning. >D Sounds strange, but MAN do they make a mean sweet curry together~ Swordfish too. :3

Vanilla Extract
Powdered Sugar
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Rum (JUST for baking)
Brown Sugar
Tony's Creole Seasoning



And please let me reiterate that I only use rum for cooking. I can make REALLY, REALLY good sugar coated rum balls! The alcohol bakes out though, so even kids can eat them!

I guess I'll be that guy and mention flour. Not only do most baking recipies need it, it's very important for you're making rous for sauces, and keeping the dough from sticking to the boards when you knead it.

*real* vanilla extract. But I put a few drops in my Coca-Cola...

Otherwise since my oven is kaput I no longer do any baking... Maybe I should look into getting it fixed one of these days... Slow cooker cakes just aren't the same.

I prefer the pepper corn that comes in a grinder. Ohhh its so good :D I put pepper on everything! Eggs, sauce, stews, you name it. It has that nice little kick that brings out the flavor in foods :D

I can make some pretty good grilled salmon with honey, worchetshire sauce, and borwn sugar.

Worcestershire sauce took me one hell of a time to learn how to pronounciate! :lol: But it is DELICIOUS! I love making my own chex mix with it.

For a nice treat on a sweet thing, take blueberries and water and honey in equal parts and heat on stove till they mix. Then ladle over things like ice cream or plain cheese cake.

the buleberries are sourish and the honey is sweet, it makes a nice mix.

^ Seconded on Cinnamon! :) But i also love 2 use italian seasoning lots of garlic powder and pure vanilla extract for when i bake sweet potato pie.

I love garlic, but lately my tongue swells when I eat the stuff. But even though it hurts really badly, I still eat it ^^;

I had time to kill before work so I went ahead & made them, just waiting for it to cool, so I can ice it. It's simple, you just add 2/3 cups of chopped oreos to the batter & bake, once cool, ice with icing of choice & ( I chosse cream cheese icing) then sprinkle another 2/3 cups of chopped oreos, cut & serve. I can't wait, I haven't tried this yet. Looks & smells soooo good tooo!
