I know there's been a lot of tattoo threads going around lately...and I'm making one...


So. I've been wanting a tattoo FOREVER. And due to money issues, and people not liking the idea issues, it's been pushed back too many times to count...but in about an hour I'm finally getting my first one! :3

What could it be? +squeak+ Well, my nerdiness is about to show through.

On my left shoulderblade

So those of you who have tattoos...what should I expect? I have a pretty high pain tolerance [as in I just got two cartilage and a surface piercing done one right after the other and didn't cry. ] but I heard that tattoos can be massively painful or just slightly annoying.

Thoughts? :supertwitch: So nervouuuus.

Lol, im looking to get one soon too =p From what ive heard people over exagerate the pain. I've heard it really only feels like a cat scratch or a bee sting. Btw, congratz on your first one =)

I think it's a cool idea. However, how big do you want it? What color would you want it to be? A space invader on one side and ... Pac-man on the other? Do you plan on other tattoos? The reason for the questions is because I have a friend who adds tattoos every year or every other year. Planning them out if you get multiple ones can get tricky.

Just to warn you, you better get something large enough that you think will be worth $50 or more like a half dollar size because the minimum of any tattoo shop is usually $50 because that is the cost of opening up a new set of sterile needles. Just think about that because I'm sure you dont want to pay that much for a tiny little thing. With pain, it just feels like a bee sting. Lots of bee stings. It gets numb though and you dont really feel it. Once you do get it make sure you FOLLOW DIRECTIONS ON CLEANING IT. I've seen so many people get nasty infections from not cleaning their tattoo properly. Its not that difficult at all though.

Once you do get it post pics!!! Eventually I'm getting a Galaga tattoo <3


Like I said before in another thread, just be more than 100% sure, confident, and freakin love the duck out of the tattoo before getting it.

On the cost of the tat, it was actually an early b-day present, so I didn't have to pay for it, but it's a pretty decent size. We just did the outline last night, and I'm coming back next week once he gets smaller shader needles. [My friend is an amazing tattoo artist/piercer.]

Parts of it hurt so bad, but I'm just assuming it was because those parts were closer to the bone than the rest. I didn't cry though, and I was so sure I was going to.

:3 The outline looks amazing. I cannot wait to get it filled in ::happy dance:: I may be going out to the club tonight, so I'll take some photos of it then with the rest of the outfit

Congrats on the tattoo!! I got my first one in October. It's in the center of my back, a collection of swirls and stars (yeah, i'm girly like that). I still have to go back to get it colored in tho...

That's gonna hurt a bit more. I know getting the tat on my neck hurt much more than the one on my arm.

Congrats!! I got my tattoo in the same location actually And for me, it actually felt kinda good XD Until he got on the bone, kinda hurt.

Just keep that in mind when he goes to fill it in *nods* We must see pics!

Yeah. Mark said that most his customers said the outline is the worst....but some people say the fill-in is the worst. So I guess i shall find out O.O

I thinks is great that u got a tattoo as they say when u get one ur going to want more .In my opion is that the fill in was worst than the outline but it does not hurt. As for tattos i have one which is a trible tattoo and im going to get a tatto on my back of a celtic cross and on my other sholder of a larger trible tatto.

if you say so I suppose... I really don't see myself removing anything, only getting them touched up

most rich musicians are in their 40's-50's and getting new tattoo's lol

being older doesn't necessarily mean you can speak on the subject for everyone

I really want a tat. I'm not allowed to get one until I move into a dorm next semester. ;_; Everyone so far has had a kinda '...?!' response to what I want though. It's this (just the cat though). If you've ever played TWEWY you'll recognize it. One thing though about your tat location, if it ever turns out you're ashamed of it (but who would be ashamed of a space invader?), at least it's in a place that can be easily covered.

I only have a crappy pic of it on fb so far...:[[ I broke my ankle this week, and since I've been taking advil, I can't get it filled in because of the advil thinning my blood or something....

It's really difficult taking a photo of your back by yourself xD

Yeah, it'll be filled in by acen. Right now I'm just waiting for midterms to be over, and my ankle to be healed before going back.

Although, I'm not sure you'd be able to see it with my cosplays xD
