I think it's a bit too expensive for a 1st year con...I'm not sure I want to spend that much for a day ticket.

Just so you guys know, the $89/a night room rate is expiring this Friday (10/22) so if you're planning on going and you want to reserve a room you need to hurry.

Well, got my badges paid for (me and friend), room reserved. All set.

(Note: I had a little trouble with web hotel reservation. Had to hit reload a few times, and it even lost me once and took me all the way back to the beginning...)

Does anyone here have a room or want a room? I booked friday and saturday and whle Id still like to go, I plan on only possibly staying overnight on saturday and would like a roommate or two for that night. Anyone intertested please PM me. I reserved a double room.

BadCat Studios is going to be there in the alley. It sounds like fun, and we love the location. Free parking and lots of restaurants in walking distance is like the opposite of Rosemont. :P

I just got hired at the Disney Store and I start Sunday, so if I work during the con, I can just walk across the street because the Disney Store I'm going to be working at is at Woodfield Mall. LOL I am going to let them know I'm not able to work that weekend anyways because I have a wedding to go to that Saturday morning.

Ah, the Saturday of my birthday, this will be... interesting.
I'm gonna need to con me a place to crash... or maybe I could actually get some work there.
Also, did someone say free parking? for like, the whole hotel? cause that would be bloody nice.

I'd rather go as a nobody than staff, I mean I'm already a nobody when I am staff, but I wanna be less of a somebody.

i would go but no i have no money(why did i have to go get food with my friends) so i cant get in, and i cant even ask my parents for money becasue i just found out that i need a new laptop.

I will be attending. I haven't gotten a badge yet due to the uncertainty on whether or not it's worth it. I'll walk around and should I feel the urge I'll buy a badge. Like many other posters have stated, I'm not sure what to expect from this but I am certainly interested in going and seeing for myself.

I will be at Kollision Con this Saturday (I didn't realize it was so soon...), and try to take it easy. Probably won't go Friday unless I have no other plans. If nothing's going on in between events, I can always bring my DS, laptop, and card games.

Parking is free around the hotel. It's maybe a 15 minute walk across the road to Woodfield, which has scattered restaurants of varied quality, as well as an FYE and a Gamestop. And if you stay on the north side of Golf Road and walk just a little way to the west, there's another mall with a few restaurants, a Borders, and another Gamestop. You won't have to drive far in order to find more food options.

If you need to take Pace Bus, then #208 will get you to a stop at the Woodfield entrance. Bus 208 goes as far east as Evanston, and operates morning through evening seven days per week. Also, bus 660 will get you from Rosemont (right by Mitsuwa) to Woodfield seven days per week.

Have to work at Streamwood High on Friday but not until after noon so I will try to be there prior and also on saturday and no one will even guess my costume lol.
