Twas The Night Before Convention - Anime Central Forums

Twas the night before Convention, when all through the hotel
Not a cosplayer was sewing, not even Sentinel.
The costumes were hung by the door with care,
In hopes that the rare Yu Gi Oh cards would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Naruto filled in their heads.
And T_C in her �kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long quiet nap.

When out in the hall there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the door I flew like a flash,
Tripped on luggage and fell with a clash.

The light on the breast of the new-laid carpet
Hearing Knives talk is hard to interpret.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a blonde-haired man, and people in cheer.

With a tall red jacket, so lively to go,
I knew in a moment it must be Tekomudo.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Xenoblade! now, Dark_Stanger! now, SoulCrash and Excel!
On, Sakura! On, Gadgets! on, Taimat on Canti and Master-L!
To the end by the elevator! at the end of the hall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, not asking why.
So back to the elevator they flew,
With the group full of Pocky, and Teko too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard in the lobby
The rushing and searching for a lost boy named Bobby.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Through the door Tekomudo came with a bound.

He was dressed all in red, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with age and soot.
A bundle of Instant Ramen he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a pedophiler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his smile how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his jacket like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the skin on his body was as white as the snow.

The Coolpix camera he held tight in his hand,
And the crew that encircled him as if he was a leader in of a band.
He had a slender face and a little dancing belly,
That shook when he danced to a song sang by Nelly!

He was skinny and tall, a right jolly Vash,
And I laughed when I saw him, as it became a bash!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And made some Ramen for one and all, so I knew he was no jerk.
And laying his hand to his side,
And giving a nod, the hotel quiet rules he had to abide!

He sprang to his fans, to his team gave a jester,
And away they all went trying not to pester.
But I heard him exclaim, �ere he headed out of sight,
"Happy Convention to all, and to all a good-night!"
