We've already submitted an application for somewhat of a joint shoot.
As it's 2 hours, the first hour-ish would focus on Guilty Gear & the 2nd hour-ish on BlazBlue.
In between we could of course take fun crossover shots.
Time is indeed 2-4 PM on Saturday.

I'm Kitsoru, you can just call me Kit for short, and I'll be heading up the Guilty Gear/Blazblue shoot this year. I'm relatively new to ACEN, but I'm the main organizer for the Guilty Gear shoots at Anime Boston for the past 3-4 years or so, so I do have experience in heading zany ArcSys shoots.
Our shoot is currently set up as:
Blazblue vs Guilty Gear
3 pm - 3:30 Saturday
@ Tree patch
Jam-Kiske is my partner in crime/backup leader if something horrible happens to me like the Blue line breaking down or an emergency.
The cosplay.com thread is here: http://www.cosplay.c...ad.php?t=190265
If anyone has any questions or concerns, the best way to get me is by PMing me on the cosplay.com forums (username Kitsoru same as here) but in the event you don't have a cosplay.com, you can PM me here as well, since I'll get a notif for the PM. Coscom I check everyday, here I don't check often (yet)
I'll be cosplaying Kokonoe, for the record, but I might be bringing along May for one day, I'm not sure yet. I'm commuting on the Blue line for the con, so it isn't possible for me to switch costumes mid-day ^^;
Closer to contime I might leave some way to contact me just in case. I have an iPhone so I can check my email at con if there's any emergencies xP
THAT SAID; I'm going to start compiling a list of all the expected cosplayers/characters. If I miss anyone or you know you won't end up coming (or if I repeat you by not realizing you're someone from coscom), give me a poke
Does anyone have any preferences right now on how the shoot works? Do we want to separate it by series/character/groups, then mix it up towards the end for dream matchups and such?
(Crossposted this to the Guilty Gear thread so everyone's on the same page- Guilty Gear thread is right here: http://www.acen.org/forums/index.php?showt...=31974&st=0 )

THAT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH TIME.
Especially because our shoot is basically TWO SERIES IN ONE.
AGGGGH. I hope I'm not the only person who finds fault in this. I've never been to anything shorter than an hour. Generally shoots for huge series go an hour OR MORE.

Yeeeeaaah, I can't say I totally agree with that policy either, but if we end up without enough time, I'm sure we can filter over to another area to get any other shots. Apparently the Indoor east wall is being used for overflow/impromptu shoots, so we might be able to scoot in there if no one else is using the space at the time.
Which reminds me, since you know the ArcSys cosplay crowd better and how things have gone past years- do people usually filter in and out of the shoot or does everyone usually stay put for the entire meeting? And also, is there any traditional shoot setup that's usually used or do you guys usually just wing it however?
Don't wanna fix what ain't broke if you guys are used to it.
Also, it appears this thread (I guess it WAS the Guilty Gear thread and got combined?) is now the combined shoot thread... Should help with organization.

I complained about short time for what I'm running and my two half hour shoots became two hour long shoots.
People general stick around the whole time from what I recall.
I believe last time I went [2 years ago?] someone made brownies, and they hung out afterward... I couldn't stay though cuz I had to run across the street and change for another shoot. >>
It's usually just stuff like a group shot and then specific shots of characters, pairings, whatever people want to do. Fight shots are always fun too.

Alrighty, I'll give it an ask and see what I can get. I know there's gatherings there before/after us, so it might not be easy to arrange.
If other options are offered in lieu of the current setup, I'll let you guys know.
EDIT: Also, just want to let you guys know that ACEN forums aren't sending me thread notifs even though I have this tracked for instant updates, so if you need to get in contact with me ASAP, PM me either here or on coscom, since I still seem to be getting PM notifs here. Weird, I know.
EDIT2: Just got word back, and as I figured we can't get any more time in for that location, however...
"Not for what's on the schedule, but there is several other places you can move to if you want to continue things. There's the woods behind the hotel if they aren't flooded, there's a fountain down the road if folks are willing to walk down to McDonalds."
So like I said before, if people are willing to move on to a different spot to continue, we can continue the shoot elsewhere if we want to. It's a bit of a hassle, but ehn, a little walking never hurt anybody ...without serious back/knee/hip problems (in which case... sorry, nuthin' I can do D: )
(That said, if anyone DOES have such problems, lemme know and I'll try to make sure you get a good solid, dry piece of ground, the area where the photoshoot is going to be apparently gets slippery sometimes and we don't want anyone getting injured.)

I want to know if people would actually show up and possibly help out because it would be a pain in the butt since ACen staff will not help AT ALL if you run an unofficial tournament.
Also: it would be just for fun as they won't provide prizes and I can't do that either [at most I can give the winner a certificate xD]
Thoughts?
I'm just thinking of doing this because the fact that neither of these games is on the official tourney list is A LOAD OF CRAP.

It would depend on the day- Sunday I can only be at con for a few hours tops since it turns out I have to catch a plane that afternoon (lol dorms) and I also can't stay at the con SUPER super late Saturday because of that, but I can probably do Friday night and up to midnight on Saturday.
But if time allows, yeah I'd be interested

Well I would love to join in on any gatherings involving Guilty Gear and BlazBlue since I myself will be cosplaying Kuro Ky Kiske
I have a few friends who are also going to be cosplaying Guilty Gear Players as well. I am going for sure with a Slayer, Chipp, and Possibly an Axl, I-No and a Johnny.
It should be fun to meet up with you guys and look foward a photo shoot as well!
We are all working on our cosplays right now so to anyone who needs help we are planning on having a few cosplay workshops coming up soon (thinking of doing 4-5 before the con starts).
Also on my post I put up earlier before I was directed to this! I was wondering if maybe a Thursday night meet up for fun and stuff just to meet everyone and maybe plan something for later! Just an Idea. A few of my friends were thinking of maybe having a room party as well sooooooooooooo we shall see what happens!
Anyways can't wait to ky it up at ACEN!

More people is always a plus!
I think a room party or something could be really fun. We could all just play games and have a good time!
I went to one my first year at ACen but when my friends found me they dragged me away cuz I was 14 at the time and... yeah. D:
Dunno about doing it Thursday though cuz I dunno how many people will be there Thursday.
[I'm going to try to be there Thursday, but I dunno yet]
Oh and hey I'll rebring up this thread:
http://www.acen.org/...showtopic=35320
That one's for an unofficial BB tourney, but a GG one would be even BETTER if you ask me. Thoughts?~

I would still love to have maybe a room party or something one of the days.
I won't lie.... I am more partial to Guilty gear than Blazblue but I love them both! if you or anyone is there on Thursday I know we will be playing both in our room and having a good time so all are welcome! I am not sure if there is a GG / BB panel but if so my group will be going to it for sure!
We plan on also doing some photo shoots before Acen in some pretty cool Gothic style locations. (One is a cemetery i took my picture at and another is a church with some beautiful stained glass and finally I think the last one is a open field but I am not sure on that) Just an Idea
Well time to get back to work on my cosplay!
