I know Lizzy said if the panel is approved, we'll probably have the photoshoot afterwords. I wonder if there is an option for that.

On the other hand, yeah, the sooner we get our group in, the better.

I guess we should fill the form out. But if Lizzy wants it after the panel, we may have to wait. But just for the sake of not missing out like we have last year, but I think we may just want to at least get a position and a spot in the group photoshoots.

I think right now getting a spot is more important, I'm gonna see about getting a spot if Feb is the cut off...

Seeing we need a leader and I nominated Lizzy, and she hasn't been on since Nov, we need another leader so we can get a spot, I can be the leader if everyone else is okay with it. If that is okay, I'm gonna fill out the form sometime this week.

I'm pretty good friends with Lizzy so I could probably talk to her. From what I understand she's been pretty busy. Last I heard she doesn't know if the panel has been approved yet. We should get an answer at least by the end of the month.

We probably won't be able to pin-point an exact time yet, but we can start talking about locations and days.

Hey guys, panel submissions ended on the 20th and from what the programming thread said they're in the process of weeding through all the panels today (the 23rd) in one fell swoop. Confirmation should be within the next few days. I'm hoping we'll be approved, what with the growing fanbase and the anime FINALLY being licensed for a late April release. So while we still have a few days before our gathering is submitted, lets figure out where and when we would like to do this photoshoot so we can at least be on the roster.

I'm leaning towards the fountain garden (where we did it last year)
Only problem with this is the sheer number of other groups who like to do the same thing.

Other idea is the mainfloor of the convention center. That big open area where the escalators are and the entrance to the dealers room.
We're a small group so this won't cause chaos. Plus we can always decide to change locations after we all meet up anyway if we wanted any special shots. I have a new fancy camera this year so I'll definitely be all over that idea.

I don't know what day we should do, my panels were proposed for Friday and Saturday. I'm not sure when would be the best time. Let me know what works for you. I'd be up for an early evening shoot if necessary. Saturday seems ideal, but that's the highest traffic day for photoshoots. Still we need to figure something out.

As for number of Gintoki's...THERE CAN NEVER BE TOO MANY GINTOKI'S! D: I'LL probably be Gintoki! AGAIN! ME! XD

I was the other Gintoki at the photoshoot last year, I might bring it again since I have a Sa-chan now but I'm not sure. Depends on when it is I guess.

After checking out some of the proposed photoshoot locations in one of the gatherings stickies, I've narrowed our location down to the following ideal areas in order of preference:

• Garden (the most ideal location if not the most crowded.)
  
• East Out Wall
  
• Loading Docks Right
  
• Tree Patch

Saturday afternoon sound good for everyone for a tentative start point?

Xenoblade said they wouldn't mind being leader. If it's not too much trouble, I would like to name her/him my second in command in case of emergency.

I'm wondering if two photoshoots, like we did last year, would work too. That way we can have the official photoshoot on one day and short of impromptu one after the panel. Then again we'd have to find out WHEN the panel is first.

Like last year, I'm going as Sacchan and Katsura. Won't have time/money to make Tsukuyo.

But any location is fine there. And Saturday is good for me. Whatever location everyone wants, it is fine with me. Whatever is accessible to everyone.

Semi-good news everyone! (<--read in Professor Fonsworth's voice)

The Gintama Panel is tentatively approved! Basically unless panel programming is told they can't accommodate us, we have a halfway decent chance of actually having one of the first Gintama fan panels...EVER! *confetti*

Actually I'm not sure if we're the first ever, but I haven't seen one at any of the other cons I've been to yet, so to me we're the first ever!

Ok final word is in and the Gintama Panel will NOT be making it's premiere at Acen. We'll try for next year. If anyone is going to Youmacon this year, I'll be attempting to get it in there. I'm honestly kind of relieved though, my Acen schedule is pretty full this year.
