Okay so we had no official photoshoot in 09. As alot of other people are planning, we should too.

So we'll discuss plans for next year, who is doing who, and all other things related.

And to discuss a photoshoot time for sure next year.


Even tho I made the thread, I don't think i'll make a good leader. I'm completely unexperienced in photoshoots. So someone can take the leadership position. (I nominate Lizzy-kun tho, I believe she headed the 08 one? And is the most known Gintama cosplayer? lol)

Well this year, I actually saw quite a few Gintokis. I was happy that I actually seen a good amount of gintama cosplayers.

It'll be awesome if there was like a Shinsuke. I haven't seen one yet.

Well I didn't get Kagura done this year because of time and money. So I'm pushing the goal forward to 2010. I am REALLY hoping I can get Kagura done for then. Though I'm still wavering on if I want to do the dress & boots outfit or the two piece pantsuit with slippers outfit. Likely the pantsuit cuz I don't think I could pull off those super-high slits on the dress.

I'm in as usual! I'm kind of toying with the idea of making a Tsukuyo cosplay (the girl from the latest arc) but I still have Sacchan and Katsura too. I didn't get to wear Katsura for very long this year either.

Kind of iffy on a Thursday photoshoot though. I usually arrive on that day too but as stated, not many people are there.

@Lizzy_Kun: I thought you did a really good job at running the photoshoots. ^^'

Cool. Another Gintama photoshoot it is! And what do you mean "No Gintama photoshoot this year"? There was one, and even though there were only a few people there(Myself included), it was still alot of fun. BTW, I was the one who dressed as Hijikata this year, I know for sure next year I'm going as not only Crown Clown Allen, but as Sogo Okita too. I'll be sure to dress as Sogo during the times of the photoshoot.

Can't wait till next year!

There was a photoshoot, but no OFFICIAL photoshoot (as being in the photoshoot section in the acen handout book thingy (forgot the name)

I'm trying to make sure we get an official one this year.

In 08 I cosplayed as Ginpachi-sensei, and I was thinking that I may just go as Gintoki in '10. The only problem with that is that I have lost a lot of weight and if I am unable to put it back on I may be too skinny to be able to pull it off. But yeah, I think I did a good job of it.

I came up with the idea for the name of the AMV by combining the name of the song "Car Chase City" with the name of the episode "Keep a Promise Even if it Kills You" to make "Get in a Car Chase Even if it Kills You."

So it's official, I'm planning the first ever (as far as I know anyway...) fan panel for Gintama. We're calling it The Truth of the Strawberry Milk! A Gintama Panel. Me and one of the panelists are veterans of the How troublesome Naruto panels, so hopefully we won't suck. I'm heading this one. We'll all be in costume, in character for the most part. Probably a small room since I can't see more than 40 people actually know what Gintama is. We'll go over characters, attempt to touch on references, story arcs, and have discussions or as far as real discussions can go when dealing with Gintoki, Hijikata, and either Katsura or Kagura...

I have no idea if we'll be approved or not. I plan on submitting the panel this Friday. We're shooting for holding it Friday evening. Well we're a slightly more adult show anyway right? At least we squeak right by...>.>;

This can either go well or fail miserably. Depending on the time frame, it may be best to hold the Gintama shoot directly before or directly after the panel. I don't know though it's still really early to make a decision.
