I saw that there were two gatherings for Rare Cosplay and I was wondering what applied and what is required to be a "Rare" cosplay.

For example, I'm going as Nancy Makuhari aka Miss Deep from Read or Die. Would that count?

People going to the rare shoot so far are mostly old/rarely cosplayed FF people, Touhous, and other stuff I forget... >>

To answer your question Jam, I think they mean rare as a cosplay that you would almost never see.
