I really want a figure of some sort, but last time i was at acen the lowest one i saw was double my amount of money...

so my question is does anyone know how low any of the figures might cost this year? any price ranges?

What are you looking for? Statuete types that don't move? Or something like a Figma that has joints? Or maybe a doll type?

im really just looking for any type of figure in general. non-movable ones are more preferred, but i want to find out some low prices on any figures...

Look up some by a fellow named Monsieur Bome. He does mainly garage kits but they've been made into PVCs lately, what you're looking for. They are about $20~$30.

You can always get the ones that come in capsules. They will run anywhere from $5~$15 each.

Depends on how big you want to go. Trading figures and gashapon tend to cost about $10 per figure. They come in blind boxes, but some dealers open them and sell them that way so you know who you're getting. But judging from your post, you probably want 1/8 or other scale figures. In that case, it depends on the series you want a figure from, the scale the figure is(1/8, 1/6, etc), and the company that makes the figure. Usually the fancier and more detailed the figure is, the more expensive it will be. Also, rarity plays a factor. But expect to spend at least $50 on a scale figure in most cases.

In addition to the BOME series of figures you should also look for Sega prize figures many of which measure 6" to 8" tall & can be had for less then $20. They're called prize figures because in Japan you can get them from game machines such as the UFO catcher type. They're nice for the price, but limited in what series & characters are available. Taking the next step up in figure quality you'll probably also be able to find some good deals on Kotobukiya branded figures especially for their older line.

You'll find some in your price range. It really depends on what your looking for though...If its popular/rare then the price will be higher and really, the bigger the figure, the more it'll cost you. Heck, most keychains which are gashapon sized *about one inch* can be up to 4-6 dollars.

You seem to be describing resin (garage) models. There are many kinds and from many series.
The cast ones can be horribly expensive.
I used to show them at acen until a few years ago. Have a look at the "How I spent ACEN 04" link in my sig.
