I had a dream a couple months ago that my friends and I all showed up

I just woke up and a dream I just had was that, I was at ACen on Friday (I think it was friday), and my friend and I met up with some other friends and then I said, "Well, I'm gonna go run to the ministore in the Hyatt and get a pop." or something like that. I left and came back and a friend of mine found a bunch of cosplayers (idk how she got them all so quickly) but most of my fav characters were all lined up to greet me as a big group and it was great. My 'bishies' were all there I just about screamed.

I woke up and I started putting on my ACen gear...then I realized it was a Saturday in Feb....

doesn't hurt to be prepared, albeit it being 3 and a half months until ACen.

I had ANOTHER Acen dream last night.



So Acen took place in what looked like a huge versian of my grandparents garage, and I forgot ALL of my money, and I went home, which was an RV. My dad was like really pissed because I ate his yogurt(or something about yogurt), so he took my phone and started going through it, and saw all of these pictures of Soycon, and was like "wtf is this?!".

Last night I had a dream that ACen was in LA this year and it took place in March, so I didn't have my cosplay ready in time.

I have dreams about being at the con every once in a while. It always goes by too fast. I wake up confused.

So far this past month is when the dreams started for me, as they often do.

The first one I had near the beginning of this month was about my first ACen. The same year I began gofering. Only this time, Coming around the small parking lot on the way to the Hyatt from the blue line, I didn't ask if the group of staffers needed a hand. It almost scared the crap out of me when the con continued and I was bored out of my mind. Didn't meet any of the friends I met my first year either. Needless to say, it was scary.

The next one two weeks ago was about this year. I was permanently kidnapped by IRT and forced to work the entire weekend under Taz. And what was worse, is the vest given to me looked like something out of a BDSM video with IRT on the back.

And just a couple days ago, I had a dream that I got to my hotel room and it was a small storage closet and my group's stuff took almost all the leaving a 3'x3' area to sleep in for all 4 of us. The con only took place in the Hyatt with the dealers hall in the lobby, artist alley in main, and main prog in a bathroom. What's worse is it only lasted 8 hours.

I've been going to conventions since 2002, and I've had conventions nightmare from the start. I will always have multiple nightmares before a con. Sometimes they start months before. It usually involves forgetting to bring clothes and money or sleeping through the entire convention and waking up Sunday morning.

Thank goodness I'm not the only person who has Acen nightmares! ;_;
Recently I've has four dreams, all of them involve forgetting my wig and costume, or shoes. Either that, or it's about how it didn't come on time, or the costume was poorly made and had to be sent back.....
I better order all of these things soon....like within the week, or I may go crazy. xD

I would definately order mine as soon as possible. Two years ago, my wig came in the day before Acen. Much panicking preceded that day.

I second this; get everything done as early as you can. I ordered my contacts last ACen and they arrived in the mail on Thursday afternoon! Definitely panicked too.

I was going to make my own post about this, but then I remembered seeing this one a few weeks ago. I already had 2 dreams about ACEN and they were indeed nightmares. It's kind of funny because this is my first year going, so I don't really know where/or from I'm basing these images in my head from (maybe from all the videos/pictures I've seen). Anyways, my nightmares basically consist of forgetting my clothes in general [walking around naked] or forgetting my camera, money, other important things. I usually run around in my dream trying to call my mom so she can bring my things, but my fingers end up all crazy and I can never dial the number..or the phone disappears.

The craziest thing I've dreamed was that I arrived with my things, but then some girl insisted they were hers, so she took my luggage and my clothes

Had my first ACen-related dream last night.

So I'm wandering around some hallways, when all of a sudden I see a group of people with ACen badges. At first I think nothing of it, but then I somehow realize that OH GOD IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR MY SHIFT AND I'M NOT READY. So I rush to this room where I see other IRT folks gathering around these tables and getting gear.

Now, for those of you playing the home game, IRT wears tac vests. What was the gear I was given? A hooded cape. Yes, a hooded cape, much like Vincent's from FFVII (except with a hood). I slapped my nametag on it, got a radio, got paired up with some random chap, and then we ventured off into the hotel.

My weird dream ended at that point, because my younger cat decided it was time to check on me by jumping onto my pillow. Thanks Kahlua. *lol*

I had a dream once that I went to Acen without a penny to my name for the dealers room and for some reason they suddenly had books, dolls, plushies and everything Kanon and Touhou realted one could dream of and they were all on sale!

Hahaha, wow, everyone seems to have the same dream about missing con, forgetting cosplay or no money XD

I watched something on the science channel about how nightmares actually are the most important part of your dreaming process (so this one scientist theorized) because it's a way for your mind to get ready for the future, in case something like whatever happens in your nightmare, happens in real life, you'll be able to be kind of prepared to handle it.
So hey, look at it this way, you guys will make sure not to forget your wigs or money or cosplays ~_^

I haven't had an acen dream for a while because I haven't been able to get as into it since 2008. Last year I had to miss it because of moving, so I was concentrated on something else and this year, I'm going to Japan the day after ACen ... so that's kind of overshadowing it XD

BUT I remember a dream I had a few years ago about acen. It was rather creepy.
So I had a room upstairs in this nice hotel place and I was getting a nice dress on for the charity ball, come to find that something was wrong so I had to go back upstairs and go get something. By the time I came back, the whole weekend was over! ACen was gone.
What made this dream stuck in my head was that during ACen (the real one) after I had the dream, I was outside the Hyatt talking to a friend and a guy came up and asked about registering for the con. We had to tell him that the convention was over because it was sunday and closing ceremonies have already ended.
It was like my dream came true, but not for me. It was kind of creepy ^^;

Ahhh dreams of Acen I remember last year i had a dream the day after we got back from Acen2009. I was dreaming that i was still in Chicago, and it was only Friday night after running around all day at the con. I woke up for real all ready to go to the dealers room again and catch a panel, but when i rolled out of bed it hit me *pout* I was at home and Acen was already over...... *sob*

I spent so much time answering emails last night and adding mailing for attendees who requested it and processing badges in the registration system, that i dreamt about it. It was like a never ending sea of badges that needed to be processed... I was constantly going back and forth between the system and the email and then finally my alarm went off and the first thing i went did was answered another email...lol

I suppose im a glutton for punishment :-D

they either consist of the con being a total suckfest or me being stalked by someone

So far I only had two Acen nightmares. The first one was just really wtf...What happen was:

My sister and I walked into the convention, we get a map of the building, and starts squealing like idiots! So to open the map you had to pull two tabs. So it said in a red dot. You are here. We then move on looking for the Artist's Alley. We end up back at the same spot. I pass the map to my sister, and she follows the direction, and as we're moving so is the red dot. When we finally stop we're back at the begining again. So we then asks these group of people that was walking by. This Indian girl with two long pigtails smiles, and says she knows the way. While we followed her I noticed that she was dressed in an all purple tux, and wore a purple tophat. So she stops at the escalators, and tells us it's up on the second level. Me and my sister get on the side going up while the girl with the pigtails gets on the one going down. I was like, "What h*ll are you doing?" She replies. "To go up you must go down, and to go down you must go up. It's common logic here my dear." I was just looking at her as we went up and she continued smiling. So we reach the top, and it's the swimming pool, and there's people swimming in their cosplay. For some reason me and my sister scream and runs away from the scene, and we fall down the escalator, and crash into the weird girl...

I woke up after that...
