[Sarah-Senpai]

It's my first time going to Acen, and it will be my first anime con. A few of my friends have gone before and are showing me the ropes and what not. I would love to know what people think of the con and what are some interesting things to do.

I'm a big fan of Negima! and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya along with Pani Poni Dash! and Ouran high school host club. I really can't wait to meet the voice actors who worked on a few of the titles I love

You WILL have fun.
When I attended Acen for the first time I didn't have anyone to show me what there was to do so I ended up wandering the dealer's room.
But I still had fun.

The cosplayers are so nice, and the energy is so enjoyable.
If your friends don't take you to the Maquerade (skits) you need to scold them.
But other than that there is lots to do.

They have rooms for viewing animes and movies (and AMV's)
They have a game room and table top game rooms.
There are different panels you can go to, (Even though I was lost my first year Istumbled into a Negima panel and got to meet the voice actors!)
There is soooo many things that are sold there.
It's just a weekend full of fun.

If I had known about the deadline for AMV I would have entered the one I made for Soul Eater. I wanted to enter, but I didn't know there was a deadline for it.

I'm going as Kyouya from Ouran high school host club. I'm hoping to buy some stuff, like plushies, I really want a Negima plushie XD

To bad I'm going to miss like half the first day due to school and not being able to skip.

I know what you mean about missing half the day.
I'm trying to convince my dad to let me leave early since I'm taking myself down there and I need to be there in time for the fashion show.

It takes about two hours to get there from my house and I get out at 3. I need to be getting ready for the show a little before five I'm sure.

On the topic of vendors, name anything (and that does mean all) and they will have it there. Clothes, games, books, plushies...no food though...

School get's out at 3:20 I'm going to try and wear my cosplay to school so I don't have to run home and change.

My mom drives me to and from school so she would have the wig in the car or something XD

but the white shirt, and pants and shoes are my formal band clothing. I would just wear the jacket over it

Remember that you want to go to panels and meet voice actors. It's easy to get side tracked, lose track of time, or find something else to do. I really think the panels and voice actors are the best attraction though. (after gaming) Try to watch some anime with Japanese audio though because they have some Japanese voice actors here and they are even more rare to see. Also try to make a new friend or two. I always try but only seem to find the stuck up people. Maybe I'll see u there.

Welcome! I'll guarantee you that you will have the best time of your life at the con. This will be my 3rd year at the con and I love it so far! There are many things to do at the con so you'll never get bored. I recommend you going to the soap bubble! It's a dance that occurs on a saturday night where anyone can go! && since u mentioned liking Ouran High School Host Club (I'm a fan to), there's actually going to be a panel on it! You should definitely go!

Really?...thats good...I'm plannin on goin to this one...i hope *fingers crossed*...moneys the issue...no in my family likes anime of any kind...and majority of my buddies look down on me bc i enjoy it...it it'll feel nice to fit in for once...

I know exactly how you feel for the longest time I was the only one of my friends that was into anime too until they realized that that were wrong so just give it time and you will make friends with the same interests (as far as anime)
