Anyone who selected and paid for mailing that does not receive their badge can go to the Registration Assistance booth at con to receive a reprint.
READ THIS PART
We went from 4500 ish for mailing last year to 7900 for mailing this year and unfortunately we did not expect such a huge increase. We expected about 2k more. So we did run out of fancy mailed badges near the end. If we had gotten them reprinted and mailed later the badges wouldn't arrive in time for con so we used the at con normal badges for the last bit which was only about 100-200 people. Those people can go to the Registration Assistance booth or the Dept Head (DH) booth (which are side by side) to receive a fancy mail badge with a reprint of their label in exchange for the at con badge we sent them. We apologize for this inconvenience. and have learned our lesson. We WILL over order on badges by more than 1000 next year >.< If the line becomes long we are able to adjust to have 4 lines to make this a VERY fast line. We understand you chose mailing to not stand in line so we want to make this as easy as possible for you.
WILL-CALL
Is printed and alphabetical and organized into 5 lines. Each line has 200ish badges in it which means lines are going to be ridiculously short! 200 people and not everyone is going to show up at the same time! it's 4pm-10pm Thursday, 8am-10pm Friday and some Saturday. Imagine how short this line is going to be and do a happy dance if you didn't choose mailing! *<(^.^<)(>^.^<)<(^.^)>(>^.^)>* KIRBY DANCE!!!
AT CON REG
We went up in mailing by 3400 people. That's 3400 people that won't be in line with you! AND we're open for the first time on Thursday for ALL reg. That's a LOT of people who don't have to stand in line during the convention and those people won't be in line with you Friday people! We've bought MORE registers!!! so that means more payment booths. We've changed at con reg to be VERY fast and ONLY hired experienced cashiers so they will be working fast!
GROUPS!!!
We have a group line! no more taking over 1 pay station and slowing down the main line
SPECIAL NEEDS
We have a new section for those with special needs. This section is for those in wheelchairs, crutches, canes, pregnant, diabetic(or likewise medicated) etc. We have chairs here for those who cannot stand for long though this line should be short and fast. We have special needs dept. staff here and our very own certified paramedic.
REGISTRATION ASSISTANCE
Is a new booth this year which is only to help those with issues with their registration. This includes lost mail, replacement badges, lost badges, complaints (involving registration), suggestions, issues, EVERYTHING that our attendees need help with involving registration. We have a dedicated staff of 6 who are well trained in all of our policies and procedures ready to help you get on your way to enjoy the convention!
That's everything I can think of to post for now. Expect many more excited posts before con! OMG IT'S SO CLOSE AND I HAVE TO BE THERE ON THE 6TH!!!!! AHHHHH >.<
ALSO if anyone has a situation that will be fixed at con and dealt with me on the forums or email and want to continue to work with me at con on the situation you can ask for Chelsea or Bloo. Bloo is my IRT security call sign and 90% of the con knows me as that. YES I was and still continue to help with IRT.
And finally.. We've gotten over 10 emails so it's time to post. Will-Call does not mean you need to call us. There is no Will-Call phone number. It's the term used for pre-paid at convention badge pickup.
