youth, thank you for correcting me. None of the names of the animes that she seemed to have a large role in sounded very familiar to me and I checked the ones you pointed out and realized that it was because they were mostly harem anime. I feel better about her now. I'm still disappointed though that they couldn't get a more famous VA.

Anyway I don't really want to get into a fight about this. I don't know why I even bothered to say anything in the first place. My life would be so much easier if I could just learn to hold my tongue.

And she was really good in Moyashimon (Tales of Agriculture). I just wish they would license it over here, because it is a really good slice of life anime. And just because someone is not super popular doesn't mean that they can't be entertaining and that you won't have a great time at one of their panels.

Hai! It is soooooo kawaii! And for a good review of Moyashimon check out Clarissa's review on episode #73 of the Anime World Order Podcast. My only complaint is that it was just way too short, because I really wanted more.

For those complaining about the DJ's please keep in mind that the number of DJ's have actually stayed about the same as last year.

Oh, this is because of performance visas? Gah, that sucks. I remember back when the Sakura Wars staff came they sang the theme song with us panel attendees, but I guess that would qualify as "informal"? Maybe you could explicitly tell guests that if singing is something they want to do, equipment would be provided (as to any other panel)? That way they know it's a possibility, even if they aren't musical guests. Maybe that's clear already, though, I don't know...

You can always pick up the first volume of otome wa boku ni koishiteru for her to sign. I have the set, and I'm bringing the first dvd from that.
I just hope she does signings...

It's too bad I never saw the show. Thanks. Instead I think I'll order a Moyashimon manga in Japanese from Sasuga for her to sign. Almost everything Moyashimon on ebay are from Japan and cost too much. Found a folder for $12 (shipping included) and mousepad for $19 (shipping included). Crazy expensive.

I wasn't so excited about any of the guest until Nabeshin was announced. I got toally geeked then!

I am kinda sad though, cause I was planning on cosplaying as Lord Ilpalazzo originally, but I was very short on money so I couldn't do it. So I feel like such an idiot now.

If he's already been to Acen twice before, then maybe I can hope for another return in the future.

Lord Ilpalazzo or not, it will be great to meet him and give him my appreciation!

I am pretty much thrilled with all of the Japanese guests this year. I really don't care how famous they are as long as they are interesting, and I will probably have a hard time meeting them all but I will try. I just hope I can see Aoi! I want to see what she cosplay's as.

Will Mark have a panel and signing session of his own, or is he permanently paired with Vic in everything he does?

A lot of Gundam Wing fans, in my experience, are a part of the older crowd of congoers while Vic fans are the exact opposite. Mark hasn't had as many top tier roles as Vic and I foresee any panel involving the two of them quickly becoming onesided from the audience perspective and favoring Vic.

If Mark doesn't have anything solo, I (for one) will be severely disappointed.

Hahhaha guys, don't worry most guests do have a panel on their own. Mark has a concert, Q&A session of his own and is also paired with other actors at various points of the con. Pairing Mark and Vic is one panel which is mainly to appeal to bishonen fangirls.

like previous people said, I dont want to add stress or start arguments, but this year I am completely underwhelmed with all of the guest list. There are only 2-3 guests I want to meet and get their autographs and that is just for a friend who cant make it. Other than that, just dont see anything that pops out at me. Last 07 and 08 had me jumping for joy over the guests, this year is just complete and utter MEH in my opinion.

Is ACEN hurting for funds to get the bigger people or does no one want to actually come and be a guest for acen anymore?

Keep in mind that the economy is not in good shape. Also keep in mind that ACEN is close to Golden Week this year.

Just a thought.

Golden Week is the SAME week as ACen. Many guests are on holiday with their families.
