For those who emailed us and requested mailing. We are catching up on emails (we got hundreds) and you will still receive mailing if you requested BEFORE or ON April 1st. Anyone requesting after April 1st will not have their account upgraded to mailing.

Anyone who paid via mail and have not been updated in the system yet will be updated before we send out mailing. If you are still marked as unpaid after April 4th then email registration with a scanned copy of proof of purchase (bank statement etc) and we will mark you as paid.

APRIL 15TH IS THE LAST DAY YOU CAN REGISTER AND PAY BEFORE CON!!!! This gets you into the Will-Call line (at con pickup) where it is A LOT faster than going to pay. You walk up, give us your badge number on a slip of paper or your confirmation sheet and we give you the pre-printed badge and you're done! So take advantage of this!


We still have 1500 badges we printed from the first wave that we have to do. We printed 5700 badges then so we got a lot more than our 2500 goal done :D So even if you're listed as printed pending mailing it does not mean you are mailed. We will be continuing on April 4th and mailing out throughout that week.

I would like to register and pre-pay for a Saturday only badge (did this last year), but when I go to the registration page (and login) it only allows me to register for a full weekend pass and it says that I have to pay at the con. Is there any way to still sign up for a will-call for a Saturday only badge?

What you're asking people to do here, IMHO, is do the job that Registration staff were supposed to do themselves, namely verify payment info that had already been sent by attendees in the first place.

Why?

Presumably, if Reg has this info on Limon and/or on paper, there's no reason for them to be sent anything else. Period.

Please explain this, if you would. As stated before, I've sent some 6 (now 7) emails to Reg since October and have received one response wrt my question concerning when Limon would be updated. That response was in October. Why they didn't get around to it for 5 months afterwards (or why they couldn't be bothered to answer only one of those additional emails) is beyond me.

UPDATE: According to my file on Limon, My membership status is correct (Full Weekend, Tier 1/Road Show); however, my payment status is still off, since I continue to be listed as owing $36.50 even though my check was cashed on October 16th.

We would also like to announce a few changes we have made to registration so there is no confusion when you arrive to pick up your badge.

Will-Call - Is when you pay online but do not select mailing. This you need to bring your confirmation sheet or a slip of paper with your badge number on it.

At Convention Registration - All attendees registering or paying at con go into this section. We are going back to paper registration this year to make our lines move faster. Those attendees with an account in our reg system do not need to fill out the paper form.

Groups - Groups of 10+ members have their own section this year. The group leader is allowed to bring 1 person with them into this line for company. Please do not bring your entire into the line with you, unless your group is underage (needs supervision). This will allow us to bring more attendees into the hall for registration instead of leaving them outside where is it potentially cold and raining.

Special Needs - We have added this section for those who cannot stand in line due to medical reasons. We have special needs staff and reg staff working this section. There will be seating for those who cannot stand for long as well. This includes: pregnancy, crutches, wheelchairs, diabetic (and similar conditions) where you cannot go without medication, and more.
We trust that our attendees will not abuse this section and leave it for those who truly need it. If you have any questions for this section please feel free to email us.

Bathroom Passes - We have always allowed attendees to use the bathroom but there was confusion last year with communications. This year we have changed the policy to be more clear. The attendee needs to call for a staffer, we are everywhere in the reg section it won't be hard to find one, and request a bathroom pass. The attendee receives a disposable color coded card and the person in front of or behind receives a mini flag that matches the card. The attendee then has 10 minutes to go do their business, take medication, whatever they need to do and return to the line. After 10 minutes we assume the attendee has given up their spot in line. When they return from their bathroom break they need to go to the information desk in front of reg and the staffer there will bring the attendee back to their matching flag.

Single Day passes - Are now available the day before and the day they are active to give all attendees a chance for no line time during the days they attend! For example you can purchase a Saturday badge on Friday but it still only works on Saturday. We would like to remind attendees that it is cheaper to buy a 3 day pass than to purchase 2 single day passes.

We have taken your suggestions from last year, gone over registration and have redone everything in order for maximum line speed. This has caused more work for staff but to make lines faster for you it's worth it!



What you need to bring:

Will-Call: Photo ID and your confirmation sheet or badge number.

At Convention Registration: Photo ID and if you are not in the reg system from the last 2 years make sure you have the form filled out. They will be placed around the registration section.

Group Payment: Group Leader's Photo ID and the group confirmation sheet or group number.

Special Needs: Photo ID and form filled out if you are not in the reg system from the last 2 years.

We will not issue a badge without a legal Photo ID shown unless the attendee is under 18. We suggest those under 18 bring a school ID or some other form of ID. The name on the account must match the ID.


IMPORTANT! - We are no longer accepting personal checks at the convention. For groups only - If this is an issue please contact us.

We do accept - Visa, Master and Discover Card

We do not accept - American Express

We do accept - Cash at con only, Money orders, and any non personal check (business etc)


At Convention Registration Hours - Hours are always subject to change depending on when equipment is working etc.

-Registration is in Hall D of the convention center this year.

-Doors close at the closing time but we always finish the registrations for those in our lines.

-These times are Central Time Zone

Thursday - 4pm-10pm(this has changed form 3pm due to setup time) This is open to ALL forms of Registration. In previous years this was only Will-Call. Another change to thin out our line on Friday.
Friday - 7am-10pm
Saturday - 7am-6:30pm
Sunday - 8am-4pm

As you can see from the quote from Bloo in this thread http://www.acen.org/...showtopic=27826 one day passes will only be available at the con this year. But as you can see reg has made some changes to help make the at con registration easier. As you can see in the above quote you can pick up your one day badge the day before, and also since you are already in the reg system it will make the processes faster since you don't have to fill out the paper form.

I side 500% with The Archfiend here; for me it seems like clearing registration and getting my badge becomes more and more of an obstacle course every year. However, I do recognize that the reg team, I'm sure, is WAY too busy this close to the con to be rambling out a long, complicated explanation/apology for their screw-ups. So, instead of asking them why, I'm just going to continue asking them for help for the 5th+ time seeing as it's past April 4th and the payment I mailed in in mid-January and that cleared in late February is still lost in the system; my group's STILL "registered-unpaid" and our badges are supposed to be mailed to us. :angry:

We get over a thousand mailed in forms. A few have either been miss placed or were assumed to be done and gotten rid of with the finished (entered) ones. We also get hundreds of emails a day and are trying hard to keep up with them. We're sorry we can't be perfect :( But we are trying to fix the issue and get people marked as paid before April 18th which is when we will be mailing groups. So yes we understand you're annoyed but complaining is not going to make your form magically re-appear. Please message registration with proof of purchase (bank statement or money order receipt) and we will automatically mark you as paid. If you no longer have your receipt please message us and we will work with you. Also the last of our unanswered emails are between February and now so if you emailed us before then I'm guessing the spam folder ate it.

Arch your badge was updated when we entered the last of the forms we had. As I've said many times. the forms got mixed together, we had a lot, and some September people wound up at the bottom of the stack. Since I see your badge was updated April 4th during our mailing session your badge should be in the mail this week.

Question: I went on my account this morning and it says (printed-at willcall). I have a group of six people including myself and we all requested the badge mailing and paid for it as part of the registration. Could you please explain to me if they are going to be mailed out or if I am going to have to wait in line at the convention to pick them up.

Uh, no. I'd like to know why it disappeared in the first place. This is the third time your department's had problems either finding my check or with onsite reg, so that's the reason I may seem a bit, oh, frosty.

From my (admittedly outsider) perspective, I don't see why you couldn't update the registration info on Limon after payments were cashed. Keep in mind that I'm not some yobbo who demands that they get their badge as soon as a payment's been made, but since I had to put up with prereg payments getting lost in 2007 and the long lines due to 2008's DDos attack on your computers, I suspect I have good reason to be concerned.

Not the last few times. My Hotmail account doesn't automatically dump emails misidentified as spam, and I checked that folder so that's really not the problem. I have qualms about the fact that demanding scanned copies of proof of purchase; this is doable but not cheap (unless you have a scanner at home; my guess is that most people don't, unless they're self-employed and work out of their home), and I suspect that it'd be a better idea if people used scanned copies of their checks* or money order receipts since sending an entire bank statement might not be a good idea. Privacy issues, dont'cha know. So before anyone heads over to the local FedEx Office to do this, you might want to clarify what you guys might accept as proof of purchase.

i have the same problem as shindo02.
I posted on another forum, but i'm really nervous because my badge has "hold for pick-up" on the conformation but thats not what i selected when i paid for the badge. i was also charged for the mailing on my debit. Is this just a typo kinda-thing? i'm really worried about what's going on with my badge O_O

I have the same issue as Fullmetal_C and shindo02...

I'm paying for the April 15th will-call badges for my boyfriend and I and I'm still getting charged the Mailing Badge fee... I was just wondering if I will be getting our badges in the mail or not... Here's the group number and name...

I tried sending you the group info as well, Bloo, but it isn't working.

Please pm Tevva or email us ASAP that must be a system glitch and we need to find out how many were effect by it. If you really were supposed to be mailing and have pick up status make sure you tell us so we can switch you to mailing.

I tried contacting Tevva the yesterday but i haven't heard back and your mailbox is full >.< i also tried emailing this past week but haven't gotten a response yet. i know you guys have been recieving a lot of emails now that its so close to the con, but i'm just afraid that my badge won't get here in time O_O

I'll be going through Tevva's pm box today.

So people understand emails a little better. Remember we are volunteers. We have 3 people doing emails that have lives and families outside of acen. We've been getting emails every 5 minutes or so today ever since 2pm and about every 15 mins before that. All emails will be taken care of before Saturday when we do mailing so no one will be missed. Please be patient.
