Tales of Graces for the Wii, Tales of VS. for the PSP, Tales of Vesperia for the PS3, and a movie adaption.

IGN has some details on the new games.

A Dissidia like Tales of game could be interesting, but the new character added to Tales of Vesperia has me underwhelmed so far. Could just be that she looks a lot like Chat from Tales of Eternia and I never really used or even cared for her myself.
My tongue moved, a swung relaxing hinge.
I said to her, 'What will become of us?'
And as forgotten water in a well might shake
At an explosion under morning

Or a crack run up a gable,
She began to speak.
'I think our very form is bound to change.
Dogs in siege. Saurian relapses. Pismires."

I haven't played all the Tales games, except for Vesperia, Symphonia, the Abyss, and Destiny 1&2.
Has the movie already come out yet?
Symmetry, that is what I enjoy aesthetically.

The VA name is Scott Menville, he also did additional voice in TOS, but he's done other games like Dark Cloud 2, FFx-2, Xenosaga and others.

Yeah I heard about the Tales of game for the wii when Pokemon trainer made the thread for wii love.

I actually have more reasons to want to actually keep my wii, even dust it off a bit now.

Some new info courtesy of a press release:

http://kotaku.com/51...anime-announced

From NeoGAFFer Rpgmonkey:

Quote

-Graces's "genre" is something like "Understand the Power to Protect RPG".

-Versus is going to have 35 characters from 13 Tales games

-The Vesperia movie is called "Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike" apparently (lol), and the PS3 version of the game will be releasing this Fall.

From NeoGAFFer Duckroll:

Quote

Official press release for the ToV movie. It confirms that the movie is based on events that take place before the game. It also mentions that the director Kanta Kamei also directed the anime FMVs for ToL and worked on the FMVs for many of the Tales games. The script is written by Reiko Yoshida. The animation character designer and animation director is Tokuyuki Matsutake. He's the animation director for most of the FMVs in Tales games, including ToV. The movie will be the first Tales anime theatrical feature, and will be animated in full HD. The movie will be produced by Production IG.

Vesperia's PS3 version is making me regret buying the 360 version already. Naturally this is being met by some rage from all of those people that ran out and got a 360 simply to play the 360-exclusive Vesperia.

Rage aside, the prequel anime is looking intriguing.

Also, a couple of Tales of Vs. images have shown up:

Well I see one side of it as saying you know that's kind of under handed in a way, by adding another character to the story after the fact. But on the hand they have to also make it appealing to the people who may have played it on the 360 and own a PS3 also maybe consider forking out another 60-70 bucks on a game they already played.

A lot of Japanese gamers are infuriated by the fact that they went out and bought a 360 just to play Vesperia because every time the question about it being ported came up, the fact that it was a 360 exclusive was repeated only to have it announced that a better version will be released on a system that many of them already had. The rage probably wouldn't be as bad if it weren't for the fact that it was pushed as a 360 only game as hard as it was. A lot of people spent a good amount of money on a game that was said unwaveringly to be a 360 exclusive.

A few new Tales of Graces images:

meh, its not uncommon for companies to add stuff when they put out a game on a different console. And seriously, this is what? Like the first time 360 owners got screwed on something...cry more n00bs...

I understand the rage, but it's kind of hard to sympathize based on the history the Tales of franchise has with ports. They should have just looked at Tales of Symphonia as an important lesson instead of buying a system to play one game.

Well, it would be nice if they did a 360 version of Tales of Grace, I'd wait a year after they released it on the Wii system to be able to play it on the 360.

I just can't make myself care about the new character. She just seems like a stereotypical loli. Honestly, I haven't been following the new add-ons too much, because I LOVED Vesperia, but not enough to run out and buy a PS3 just for some new skits and fully voiced scenes.

If they make Flynn playable, though, they'd better give me that as DLC.

Well there have been a number of hints that he will be playable, but it may only be temporary though.
