I can just never get it through my head how these people stay in business. I mean, when you have something advertised to you by spam, do you EVER purchase said product? Ever? Even once? I don't know what the statistics are but I bet that the entire spam industry is still looking forward to their first sale.

It's not purchasing, its identity fraud with viruses they are after.

No, but I'll take some of those explicit tapes =D

Best way if you see a spam link is not to click on it. Just hovering over it can tell you where it'll take you too, but even with simple programming, that can be faked as well.

....Really?

Well, now it makes sense, I never knew that.

What I'm curious about is those rogue antispyware programs. I heard of one where you can actually purchase the program and make it stop, not that anyone should ever do it (on principle) but I always thought that if they actually sell a product, it can't be too hard for maybe interpol to trace their address and make an arrest. BUT, now I figure they probably ask for an account number then rob you, without going through a secure third party (like other businesses). Makes a lot of sense really. they don't try to sell you defective overpriced goods, they try to lure you into their store so they cal beat you up and steal your wallet.

-~- Arthas lies supine, the shattered remnants of Frostmourne beside him. He starts as the ghost of Terenas Menethil materializes over him, and the characteristic blue glow dissipates from his eyes. As Terenas kneels next to him, Arthas places a hand on his father's chest.
Arthas Menethil: Father! Is it... over?
Terenas lays a comforting hand on Arthas' gauntlet.
Terenas Menethil II: At long last. No king rules forever, my son.
Arthas Menethil: I see... only darkness... before... me...
Arthas' eyes roll back into his head and he dies, his hand falling to the ground. Terenas closes his son's eyes and gently lays him on the ground as Tirion walks in.
Terenas Menethil II: Without its master's command, the restless Scourge will become an even greater threat to this world.
Terenas stands, facing Tirion.
Terenas Menethil II: Control must be maintained. There must always be a Lich King. -~-
