unlike everyone else since im not cosplaying i have no photoshoots to really attend unless i just drop by taking pics of my own so im taking this tea party into Consideration im trying to do what i can to not think about how i wish my best friend was with me at Acen but if the fashion show is that day then ill be in loli fashion well my own interpretation of it

While Harley, Mad Hatter and I welcome all of you with open arms (joy buzzers and bazooka's in hand!), I think some of you may have mistaken our intention

All of you out there expecting an Alice gathering/photoshoot, are mistaken, the Mad Hatter who is hosting this with us is the Batman TAS Mad Hatter. What we are planning is of a Batman theme.

We still welcome you all, to join us for fun, (we are still planning out some stuff, but we are hoping to have some food!)

Remember to send us an RSVP if you are going to attend, or else we won't be able to plan accordingly!

The hotel will make you move if it rains. The ACEN contract with the hotel does not allow third parties so serve food or drinks in public areas.

but please do send us an E-mail as well, Harley and Mad Hatter don't read these forums, but we share our e-mail.

we have asked via this thread as well as our YouTube video invitations that anyone who posts here or on youtube also send an e-mail, as to maximize our invited audience, and minimize the distribution of RSVP's.

it'll also be a backup for a couple of scenarios
1) if ACen website crashes (no offense, but I trust yahoo more than ACen for operational probability *caugh* 4chan *caugh*)
2) if we need to send out a quick change in plans (I would hope people check their mail more than they check these forums)

Third parties? really? do they honestly expect people to not bring their own lunches?
(we've had *small* group lunches around/in the hotel before, but that was just about 5 people. so... yeah.....)
we'll find a new backup site, ATM however, we'll at least meet up there even if to move somewhere else

As far as the issue of serving food, we aren't SERVING food.
We are bringing our own lunches and more than likely, a few cookies to share.
Initially, we had hoped to be able to make a lot more so that people without anything to eat could have a nice lunch, but we'd prefer to play it safe so that nobody attending(including the ones in charge of the tea party) gets into any trouble because of us.

As far as Harley goes...I may not be there as Harley.
I may be getting surgery a week or two before the convention, and the brace I will/may have to wear will not allow me to be HQ. Who knows, I may end up improvising with something.

Believe me, if I had any choice in the matter, I would wait until after the convention to get surgery.
But, we'll find out in a week or so.

You do realize that if you host thsi event at the time and location specified, you will be sharing the location with the Sailor Moon gathering?

We had this planned before the Sailor Moon photoshoot. I looked at the gathering thread and there was a free time at 10am and 11am when we planned it. We made sure that nothing was going on at the time and place we wanted.

If the group was small 3-5 people the hotel could care less. Sharing and serving are the same thing in the eyes of the hotel. The contract between the hotel and the con says the hotel has right to serve and sell in public areas. If you had bought said cookies and brownie from the hotel food services there would no problem. It all boils down to money.

It appears that there shall now be an epic battle between an army of Mad Hatters, and Sailors. (+bubba)
but in all seriousness, we'll find someplace. for now, still meetup at the tree patch. it'll be easy to distinguish ourselves from their group.
