A chain letter is being sent through texting, stating to not go to Walmart. Apparently there is going to be some form of gang attack, which has been confirmed by police. This is a rumor started by an angry union worker, in an attempt to hurt business. There is nothing on the news or being reported by police. Also, I personally have two friends and my boyfriend who work at separate Walmart locations. They all went to work without any mishaps, and announcements are being put on Walmart's internal TV station, discrediting the rumor. So don't worry! It's still perfectly safe to shop there.

It's not that they don't have enough parking, no one likes walking.

I love how people hate corporations. Yet they are the lifeblood of the american workforce. If they fail you see what happens.

You know I was gonna make a smartass comment about if you're stupid enough to believe chain letters...but then I realized we were talking about potential Walmart shoppers...

The fact that it was a chain letter should have tipped people off the threat was fake right away. Because if there was a planned gun threat, you would think that sort of thing would be covered on the news.... and that Walmart would tell employees not to come into work.

Hey everyone, if you send this message to 50 of your closest friends, every walmart wont be blown up tonight at midnight and if you make a wish after 20 seconds of sending this 50 times, your wish will come true only at midnight if you flick the lights on and off for two minutes, but if you dont, the dead will rise from their graves and feast upon 10 of your family members.

Yeah..just a little insight on most of the customers that frequent walmart...I used to work for them and I mean, some people ask stupid questions, but sometimes it happens, but these people are just imbeciles and should NEVER have bred and had offspring. Seriously...who would ask you if a coffee mug can hold anything else besides coffee??? .___. there is no god.

The WalMart here has gang problems all the time yet they never tell their workers not to come when there's violence. WalMart doesn't care about it's employees.

I overheard about this from my supervisor as I was leaving work. I had the feeling it wasn't anything to worry about though.

And Sa-Chan, I can agree with you on the questions that customers ask the employees there (being a cashier at Wal-Mart currently). Seriously, I wonder if some of these people even look or think before asking these questions. Everyday I'm asked if my lane is open when they could look at the light above my register and see if I'm open or closed (seriously, that's why they created those lights!). And the things I see...it boggles the mind (what parent lets your child use their ROLLER SKATES through the store!?).

I really can't stand wal-mart. Only thing I buy from there is big subs (bigger then Subway) for like 5 bucks. That's pretty much it. And it's sad that I have seen more then half of that stuff on that wal-mart bingo list. *sigh*

I've worked both as a cashier and server, so I've heard my share of stupid questions. It's like some customers have no common sense. One of the dumbest questions that really boggled me was when I worked as a server. Someone actually asked "What's cornbread? Does that have corn in it?" First of all, who hasn't heard of cornbread? Maybe it's just me, but I thought it was a common food that a lot of normal families serve. Also, last I checked, the name of the food is CORNbread. So duh. It has corn in it. I've also had questions like "Does the cream of tomato soup have cream in it?" and "Can you take all of the frosting out of the layered cake?" I kid you not.

To add on with the Wal-Mart bingo card, I've seen several of the things mentioned on there, and more.

I had a guy come through my line today wearing a ratty bathrobe. Needless to say I was slightly mortified.

I used to work for Wal-Mart. They don't want to go Union for reasons they choose not to elaborate upon. If Wal-Mart's inner workings switched over to a Union, their employees would have rights, and we all know Wal-Mart doesn't stand for such a thing.
