Alright, as of 3/18/09, I will assure everyone who has been posting concerns about the guest lineup that we have NOT finalized things yet.

We have several guests who are confirmed and just waiting on the announcement to go live. I have seen some of their contracts and even their ideas for some of their panels. So they DO exist. :)

In addition we are in talks with several guests, both Japanese and American right now. When those pan out we intend to get them announced. But we obviously cannot state who until we have a contract finalized. So bear with us on that one.

Hope to have some news soon.

Well, how's Tiffany Grant, Matt Greenfield, Colleen Clinkenbeard and DJ Heavygrinder for a start?

Since con chair mentioned them in the other thread, can give out the names finally.


And let me just say that the panels Tiffany Grant and Matt Greenfield proposed are pretty stellar. It won't be only a whole bunch of the same Q&As. They are covering a rather wide breadth of topics. Look for their panels when the schedule gets released.

Well, I guess no one will be impressed until they finalize it. As for me, I'm not into the convention for the guests, though it does add a lot to it. A lot of these people, I've never even heard of, so if I get to meet them I might be interested in whatever medium they work for.

Michael Sinterniklaas voice of Dean Venture (The Venture Brothers) was asked and accepted yesterday (i was witness) And than when i told Michael I was prolly' gonna do staff for ACen we where both all 'high-five!!' and something about pizza (haha i love him)

Unless it is finalized by guest relations at this point it is only a rumor. Please be patient about guests and let guest relations staff make sure they do everything the proper way on inviting and confirming guests. Thank you ^_~

Hey, I asked Crispin Freeman a year ago if he considers Acen to be a convention that he was interested in attending, and he said yes, but he hasn't received an invitation yet. Has he, and will you even try to invite him?

I did the same thing two years ago from his fansite and he emailed me back saying the same thing! Why doesnt Acen just invite him??? I've been wondering this for years. ;__;

Way to get confrontational for no reason. Just because you have mutually interested parties doesn't mean you have appearance confirmation. It's more than just "You wanna come to ACen?" "Sure." "kthx" Sorry dude, even though you may have heard this conversation it's still just a rumor. Maybe it'll be confirmed later, maybe not, but you're not going to be getting an apology because opimus.rm didn't really say anything wrong.

On your above quote was entirely not appropriate and honestly was a comeback of a child. If you do not have anything nice to say do not say it.. We would honestly like to believe your claim, since it would be awesome, but until Guest Relations confirms or denys this guest it is a rumor. Please leave this in a positive light for both any potiental guest and attendees. Any further debate shall resolve in a warning. End of story. Thank you. NOTE: Yelling at veterans within a few weeks of joining, especially for no reason, is not a good first impression.


Nobody is calling you a liar, or saying that's not true, but in case something happens where he doesn't show up, we don't want people feeling bad or misguided. Just be sure not to get peoples hopes up in the Guest threads, because the guest list is an extremely anticipated item for Acen go-ers. ^_^


To be back on topic, Thank you (SongstressLenne) for posting that email! I haven't been able to access my email for a while, but as soon as I can, I'll suggest Crispin Freeman, because I am hoping he is still interested.
