So my father has decided he wanted to go as the Laughingman logo this year. Thing is that we're tryint to work out how big it can be considering the fact that he wants it to cover his whole body.

I know that we're having the design where the arms will collaps down so that when he needs to lift them the whole logo will be there, so I'm wondering how large can it be if he's roughly 5 feet and 3 inches tall in height. Any ideas about the rules about a costume like this?

Can't stick out from his body more than six inches. Perhaps he could be persuaded to try a face-only version? That's the classical original, anyway.

I was thinking about going as the laughing man but the face would be hard to make. I know someone who made it functional and went to a convention with it. He didn't bother telling me how it was made since his father did it for him. Best character though. Good luck.

Well, a tiny electric motor could do the job if you want it to spin. There'd be some engineering involved, of course.

Definitely. I'll still keep this cosplay in mind for myself but it's a matter of just finding a blue jacket like the laughing man.

I'd just recommend the face only. Then paint the white parts with glow-in-the-dark paint and your friend will be all the rave at the... ...rave.
