Is there somewhere that we can sign up for the tournaments or do you just sign up anytime before it starts? This is my first year participating in tourneys! Also, are there different skill levels and are we allowed to bring our own controllers for GH: WT.. and which platform will that be on?

Are there any official rules for the DDR and ITG tournaments yet? I like ITG more than DDR, but I'm not spectacular. I can do 10s and 11s just fine, and I don't play that much DDR anymore. But it seems like you guys are trying to run the ITG tourney for amazing players and the DDR tourney for not as amazing players.

I fall into not as amazing, but I'd rather not enter the DDR tournament.

Also, for ITG will it only be songs off the machine or will custom songs be allowed if both players agree on it?

For DDR, let me point you here.

ITG does not currently have a ruleset up, but expect it to be close-to (if not) PA scoring.

As you've stated, we are running both DDR & ITG clsoe to each other so that the 10/11+'s enter ITG, and the 9/10-'s enter DDR. The system is not foolproof, but we will be watching for sandbaggers.

If you can pass the Maxx's in DDR regularly, or if you have a handfull of AAA's under your belt; you should be entering ITG. If you are unfamiliar with DDR and have only played ITG, stick with the 9/10- and the 10/11+ rule.

Well, I'm just wondering what the song rating cutoff is gonna be for ITG. I can't do 12s or 13s, and really would rather not have someone pick one against me in round 1 or something...

It's a bit of a sticky situation with some people concerning the DDR and ITG difficulty spread, but the general thought (and how I'm running it) is that the DDR tournament isn't for your average four panel player (9+ songs), it's for your average convention goer who may only have a cursory knowledge of what DDR is and how to play it.

That said, I'm working with Ranatalus about there being some unofficial early saturday (1am friday into saturday) tournaments on pump/itg/ddr to allow the higher ranking pure DDR players a tournament.

To everyone that keeps asking about signing up for tournaments.

All sign-ups will be done in person, at-con. Friday tournament sheets will be out Friday, Saturday tournament sheets will be out Saturday, same for Sunday. All sign up sheets are put out within the first hour or so of the VG room opening for the day.

Once the allotted spots are full, you are SOL unless you decide to chance standby (someone doesnt show and you take their place). Standby is not guarenteed, pursue at your own risk.

i dunno if anyone has posted this but can we get a Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm tourney? i'll donate my ps3 for the tournament. i also have tekken 5 DR on my ps3. i own street fight 4 and soul calibur 4 though with sf4 i don't have seth which is good because hes a cheapass anyways. but please lets get a ninja storm tourney in there.

The Brawl finals are listed as 5pm-6pm in this thread, but the master list over in the panel programming thread lists the finals as 3pm-4pm. Which time is correct?

L4D is still TBD. There is not currently a thread, the rules will be gone over prior to the tournament starting.

SF4 is schedualed for Saturday due to the turnout expected.


It is a new game that most people haven't played at tournament yet. Expect a large crowd of challengers.

And chances are that the tournament will run longer due to the number of participants. Just view the tournament times as an outline, if you will. The amount of time the tournament will actually take is dependent upon the number of entrants. The time the tournament will be completed is pretty much static, is what I'm saying. The start time is definite, though.
