i replied to your last post in the other thread...but also, ebay and bodyline are great for lolita. ebay might be a little faster at this point if you order now.
we do have one person who is willing to make another steampunk outfit for someone. if you want that made for you ( just as a loan, tho she might be willing to sell it to you ) email me asap! kittiekandiekhaos@gmail.com

Lol....nope. Its only the coordinator ^Wired Kitty I believe. I am modeling for it, but I work reg as well so I don't have to pay for a badge. If I wasnt on staff, Im almost positive that I would have to buy a badge anyway.

...Wait! Which is your deadline?? O_o;
If it's not confidential, may I ask about how much gothic lolita you have? And, do you have anyone doing aristocrat, ouji, cyber, or any gothic styles besides gothic lolita?

Last year, The Alley (a goth/punk store in Chicago) was selling Gothic Lolita for relatively cheap the weekend of Acen. Of course, it looked cheap (specifically, the dresses were too short, and the lace looked stiff), but if you don't care about that then you might want to check out their store to see if they have them in stock this spring. Even if you can't wear it to the fashion show, maybe you or someone else reading this will benefit from the information, and perhaps be able to buy some last-minute gothloli ^^;

we pushed the deadline to april 30th...i guess there's a few people who are still trying to finish their outfits and what not...
we have somewhat of a huge variety of lolita: aristo, sweet, punk, country, classic, gothic, elegant, shiro, and a few others ( lolita being our biggest category )
we didn't get any ouji or cyber yet
if you'd like to submit stuff, go ahead!

yea...
unfortunately, they have never really given out free badges for people participating in programs and panels...maybe if you are running or an event they will...but not for a mass amount of volunteers for programs and panels. for volunteers that are considered staff that will be doing full or part time work for the whole weekend will get those kinds of benefits. if you really wanted to, they might still be hiring for a few departments?!

I'm an artist and am good at styling hair and doing fancy makeup styles so long as you don't make me do a bun... I think it's the one thing I'd fail at. I'm fairly well familiar with diferent makeup and hairstyles from the diferent fassions thanks to my sister's obsession with Japanese fassion and VK bands. If I do aply I'll submit a couple photos with makup on my own face so you'll know my skill level.
Also, for aditional styles of clothing, I'd recoment haveing a miscelanious catagory, and then allow the person submitting the aplication to write a paragraph about the relivence of their outfit.

Your starting a Lolita clothing line!? I'm so jealous! I would model for you if you needed it! ... <3 XD But I digress, Unfortunately, I lack the cash for Lolita fashion, but I can always model it!

I have a really pretty dress if anyone wants to borrow it for the show. If you want to mod it out and sew your own stuff and build off of it, we can talk about the details and I might just sell you the dress. Otherwise I am very fond of the dress but it does not fit me very well in the chest area, my ribcage is a little wide for it, it's made for someone fairly petite. I am thinking about redoing the back of it so it laces up like a corset, but for now it's zippered.
It will fit just about any hip size because the waist of the dress is pretty high, the waist will accommodate UP TO a 32 inch waist, but you might be sucking it hardcore, so I'd say 26-30 inch waist is best, though someone even thinner will have no problem whatsoever. The chest is the tricky part, I'm 34 to 36 inches in the chest, and I think this dress will fit 30-32 inch chests, an A or a B cup at most.
It's a knee-length dress and very elegant, it has embroidery all over the bodice and collar area, it's off the shoulder, it's lightly beaded and sequined and it looks ornate and Victorian. You could put lacy underskirts and stuff underneath and take a little parasol and gloves and cute shoes and you've got yourself a gothic lolita outfit, I think.
Here is a picture, I'm wearing it (as you can see, the upper chest area does not fit me, I'm kind of holding it!)
http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh257/l...rettydress1.jpg
So if you're more petite, from 30A or 32B in the chest, maybe a size 2 to 6 in pant size, this dress should fit like a dream.
----------------
Otherwise, this is the dress I'll be working on for my own gothic lolita look: http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh257/l...rettydress2.jpg
These are both thrift store finds, these are not designer dresses by any means, they are wonderful, both are black and gorgeous, very babydoll Victorian, these cruddy webcam pics don't do them justice.

I'm going to order my stuff later today probably for the steampunk outfit I want to do... and I've been making crazy amounts of kandi for the decora. =D
I'll probably try to get an app together around early next week or so on that note.

Good question! I want to ask the same thing, but also, how much hair/makeup still will be provided for people modeling, like I will be? Will there be false eyelashes and makeup and hair people there, with all the equipment, or is there anything I need to do on my own? How much hair stuff will they handle - do they just style, or will hair people contribute extensions or wigs? I am going in the gothic lolita style and can probably make decent enough hair on my own but I wear very little makeup except eyeliner every day, so I probably will be awful at doing my own ;_;
