I'll probably be there Thursday night after the Meet + Greet, because Saturday I'm going to the Soap Bubble with the teenie boppers. xD I'm 24, but I swear, I don't act it when it comes to cosplay and having fun.

You can, there sure isn't anyone likely to stop you. Just make sure you bring someone along who may be needed to drag you back to where you may need to go.

Yeah man , this year will be a blast, but... without the alcohol. Really starts to kill the fun once you get past 25. Should be a blast regardless.

Alcohol doesn't kill the fun, as long as it's in moderation. I think past 25 you get to the point where drinking yourself into oblivion isn't fun anymore, but alcohol itself can still be fun.

I'm 30, btw.

I never drank too much to begin with, but I have noticed how different my body reacts then (age 20) to now (age 28). Recovery time is not the same. I used to drink in moderation, but stopped when I realized how much it was costing each weekend. Also, it cuts into my competition training, have had only 4 drinks since Jan 1.

I'm the same way. I'm 25, never been a heavy drinker. I'm not all against drinking but I mean, people need to learn to grow up sometimes.

I do agree with this, as I've gotten older I only need a nice buzz and that's it. Of course it could be from too many times of getting to drunk. Your body also takes longer to recover from hangovers as you get older.

Can I ask you you consider an Acen vet? (I saw the birth of Acen,lol I feel old now)
I'm also just wondering at what point as in number of years do people consider to become a Vet.

Damn, the first one in 98? I started 10 years ago in 99!! Wow, I didn't think any of you guys were still around. The head of my anime club at the time in high school got me into this con since he worked for it. He eventually became the head of guest relations for a time, unfortunatly he passed away a couple of years back. He was only other guy from that time period of the con I had still talked to on occasion. Good running into someone like you who remembers the old times. Damn where has the time gone?

Sounds cool. While the anime con in my neck of the woods (desert) is really, really young, ACEN is getting older, which is cool.
