I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to tell you no. Judging cuts VERY close to curtain for the masq contestants and if we make an exception for you, we'd have to for everyone.

I think I read the answer somewhere before, but just to make sure, what percentage has to be made? For my cosplay, I already had the clothing, I just needed to make the accessories (ribbon, hairclips, style the wig). Would that be ok for the hallway contest, or no?
Thanks <3

The skirt and collar came from a school uniform that I altered. The leotard/skirt base was attached together by my seamstress
I made the bows.
Bought the staff and tiara
Styled the wig myself
and bought the boots black but made them sailor-fied on my own...
can i participate?
Also - my staff is about 6 feet tall but it can be split into 4-foot or less segments. Can I have it together if I participate?

You have to tell all of this to the judges when you see them. You can enter them, but you also have to remember that there will be people competing who did make everything in their costume. As long as you do not lie to my judges about the percentage you made, it's fine.

First-If we judge, do we get a discount on our badge?
Second-When you mentioned Video game based, what is the total detail on that.
I tried to enter last year as Master Chief and was told I couldnt compete because it was
American game set, not Japanese.
Third-If an outfit was made by two people and one of them is wearing it, what needs to be done.
I would guess that both partys are needing to be present for judgeing. The problem Im running into is that
the other party is going to be running an artest ally booth. Since the judgeing is during the time the alley
runs.....im a bit at a loss.

This year it is in DFW B, which is in the same area, but not the same room. I believe we have a bigger room this year. It's in between the elevators and where we were last year.

1. I'm sorry, no.
2. To quote one of my rules: NO original designs. Must be anime, manga, video game related, Japanese related or in limited quantities, Korean related. I'm sorry you were not allowed to compete in your Master Chief last year.
3. Yes. We are very flexible in judging, which is why there are no set times you need to come back. If your friend can find someone to watch her booth for a few minutes and told us that he/she needed to be back asap, we would allow you to skip line to be judged.

I may not think I have a chance at winning bu it looks like a good place for a novice to start. After all, gotta work my way up through the ranks somehow!

It's a wonderful place to start. Don't hesitate to ask the judges any questions about improving your costumes either.
You will fill out a form when you get to the room at the hours allotted.

My costume is of a humanoid Flareon so even though the whole outfit will be an original design, the character is not so is that still allowed 'cause this rule isn't too specific...
Idk, I think what you mean to say is no original characters right?
So can I enter my Pokemon Gijinka Flareon costume? 'cause it is anime related ^w^
Then you must get out of the fire.
Will you get back into the pan or fight your way out of the fire to the stove top?
