Sooo as the title says, I'm looking for a good shooter game for the PS2 for my brother. He's 28 and an occasional gamer. He has a few, but he's already beaten them so I thought I'd get him some more for Christmas. I don't want to pick and choose since I might pick ones that aren't very good. I'm more of an RPG gamer myself.
I've been told that Socom, Brothers in Arms, and Conflict Desert Storm are good ones. Any opinions on these/other suggestions? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.

hmm well Mercenaries is pretty fun. I only got to play a little bit of it though but I liked it. The only other one I can really think of is Killzone. Ive never played it, but ive heard it was good. Well theres Resident Evil 4 but thats not really a shooter, but killing zombie like people is still fun!

I've heard that too but unfortunately the PS2 the only system he has and he doesn't play computer games. Thats why I'm asking around for the games for this system that are actually decent, considering.
I'm going to look into getting Killzone since its been recommended to me 3x now. Thanks : )

Yeah... if he wants a shooting game of the 3D variety, the only one I can recommend is Mercenaries. Consoles aren't exactly the ideal system for FPS's, and PS2 gets the worst end of the deal.

Killzone should be $20 bucks at Wal-mart/Best Buy.
Gamestop/Crazy should be cheaper.
Maybe 12-15 if you want used.
