The 10 years Pokemon has existed isn't meant to represent 10 years within the show. By the time of Diamond/Pearl, he's 15. You would think however that after all his various accounts of meeting legendary Pokemon and saving the world.... that his quest of being a Pokemon Master would be over.

Now.
I've been a huge Pokemon Fan For Years.
Since the days when Pokemon first came out on those HUGE game boys in which could kill a person if you struck them with it.
When I was younger, I wanted to be just like Ash and his friends, going on adventures and having good times.

Ok, so..... what happened after 10 years?
I KNOW the anime is directed at kids, but at least have Ash grow a little.
If Pokemon turns out to be the reason behind his youth, then WOW. I wish to find these Pokemon, take them to a lab and turn everyone into super human things.

Also, have you ever noticed that Ash has taken some time (some time being 10+ years) becoming a Pokemon Master, while you play the game.... and beat it in a few days, hours.....?
Ash, it's great to show kids never to give up, BUT PLEASE QUIT!
Go become a Tamer, Professor, or even a Gym Leader! GOD! Yeah, the Anime ends, but please, make someone else a new trainer?
Like some new kid?
Ash's kid in the future?
Please and thank you!

This ends my rant....For Now.
^__^

wow i was just explaing that to my friend yesterday! but they have done the same thing with case closed(dude its like 900 episodes and he's still a kid!!!) so i think anime likes to prolong stuf for a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time.
X3 meow.....

I suggest a real pokemon battle. Starve them for a few days, put a huge weight on their neck to strengthen it, put them on a treadmill and bulk em up with steroids. Then we get some wood panels and set up a wall for them to battle. It will be like dog fighting but with pokemon. It will be bloody but not cute like in the anime. Talk about being a horrible pokemon trainer though lol.

Ahaha. The only reason he isn't growing up is because he's more relatable to kids as a child himself, and because if he grew up Nintendo wouldn't be able to milk the anime for all the money it's sucked in.

I wish he was as cool as Red, though. And I'm kinda sick of all the females being coordinators.

random thought: Too bad they couldn't do a more older geared spin off series were Brock is basically the Anime version of Howard Wolowitz from Big Bang Theory, expect he doesn't live with his mother. Think about it both think they are a gift to women and strike out constantly. But then again, Brock might have a slight edge as he is a Pokemon Breeder.

Well at least the Ash arch would be over, doesn't mean they can/would not find another way to keep Pokemon going.

Quoting myself here...

So Ash starts the series off at 10 and is now 15. So even though Pokemon has existed 10 years, the timespan within the series is 5 years. There are currently 10 Pokemon movies. So that's 2 movies per in-series year. So my point is... that means once every 6 months, Ash has an encounter with a legendary Pokemon, then saves it and/or the world. So... wtf Ash. You've accomplished way more than any typical Pokemon master. Please give up now.

HOW BROKEN IS HIS PIKACHU?!
Like did he find it at level 9000?

I mean, really.

Seriously, dude. If I had one Pikachu, and I was training it consistently for 5 years(without a lvl limit, of course), I think I'd be able to defeat the Elite 4 with that alone!
I think Pikachu's doing it on purpose, personally.
Pikachu's all like "Oh, I could totally KO this noob in one hit, but I don't like my trainer, so I think I'll milk this out for as long as possible X3"
And that's my theory! Pikachu's an evil little electric mouse thing! Don't be fooled by the cuteness!
...but I bet he'd be a delicious treat. Mmmm, Pikapancakes X3

I'm sorry, that was innappropriate XD I'm a horrible person! Don't throw anything! *ducks and covers*
Acen rocks, amirite?

Pikachu wasn't all that broken when the series began, but it sure is now. In recent episodes/movies, Pikachu is seen using electric moves against rock and ground Pokemon... and it actually works!

Wait.
First of all, Onix got a little wet. It wasn't like, horrible.

Not only was he an absolute sucky trainer, but he had the same exact strategy against Team Rocket that people accused Bush of: pre-emptive strikes. Even when Team Rocket was doing NOTHING -- and even when they were and didn't lay a finger on him, Ash would have his pokemon attack Team Rocket. Directly. As in not even their pokemon, but the humans themselves (though Meowth is also attacked pretty often when the humans are the targets). Pretty cheap shot if you ask me -- and this guy's supposed to be the HERO of the story ?! (Not to mention that he's complained about Team Rocket's "cheap shots," but none of theirs even come close to actually resorting to attacking the humans!)

Well kinda makes you feel sorry for team rocket having to constantly and endlessly go after his pokemon, but the good side is that they did get to see different areas when they were blasted off somewhere.

I think they have tried some sort of shock proof type things. The could also have built up a small army of pokemon in the time they have been hunting Ash.
