Hello all!
My name is Shelley and I've attended Acen 5x over the past 8 years. I've seen Acen grow from 6000 people to 14000ish. I started attending when Acen was in a hotel prior to the Hyatt, although I don't remember which it was. I love going to Acen and on the years I could not attend, money was the only issue stopping me - no longer an issue as I work two jobs! I have the opportunity to arrange my schedules the way I want, allowing me to take this position.

I became an ADH because of a response to a post of the Department Head of the Special Needs and Compliance dept of Acen. I have almost a lifetime of experience with some form of disability, specifically the deaf, blind, autistic, and wheelchair bound. Starting in junior high I have volunteered with disabled kids every year in school since, and for the past few years, have learned wheelchair use, repair, and repurposing. I have spent two weeks in a wheelchair in a different city, and did not get out of it at all (hotels, steps, and all!) , and therefore profess some sort of experience of being disabled, along with my wheelchair testing to repurpose wheelchairs.

About me a bit: In anime, my favorites are Bleach, Please Save My Earth, Evangelion, Project A-ko, anything by Hayao Miyazaki, and more! I also used to play a bit with the Spoony Bards as a hammered dulcimer player, so some here may recognize me for that. I've been into Anime since 1998 and Project A-ko is what got me into it all. I love anime music in particular. I'm a Power Rangers fan (Meeting Tommy last year was the Highlight of my Life) and also like playing World of Warcraft as my main fun when working two jobs.

I will be helping the disabled enjoy Acen as much as physically possible, to make up for all of the fun Acen has given me over the years.
