Can anyone give me some suggestions? I am looking for a mother figure to cosplay as. I have not been able to come up with anything that I can be excited aboout. Would love to get eveyone input!

Noooo~! I'm drawing blanks! (Sorry, I'm at work right now, so it's hard to think strictly anime). But yes, there are lots of moms in anime. They dress pretty normal, though.

Personally, I've never seen anyone do a Mitzi (Shin Chan) cosplay. That'd be fun. Or...Nadeshiko Kinomoto from Card Captor Sakura. And (kind of a spoiler) Kurenai from Naruto could be a motherly figure....but then I've always considered her motherly...

There's Ranma's mom, she acts motherly, kind of (ya know, when not threatening to have Ranma kill himself if he's not manly enough...). And Sana's mom from Kodocha would be a good choice. And, not a real mother, but the Baroness from Scrapped Princess becomes Chris' foster mother, and a lot of times she does display a motherly affection for him, so she could work too.

Yes she does, but to tell the truth I've never seen a Mr. Mime plushie... O___o

Unless you can find one or make one. That would be pretty awesome. It would be even better if you could get someone to cosplay with you as Professor Oak... xD

I totally second Sana's mom from Kodocha, and Tenchi's mom. They're both very recognizable too (not to mention I'd LOVE to see someone cosplay Sana's mom and come up with some crazy architecture to put in their hair for their little stuffed chipmunk...)

For Ash's mom, you should carry the rubber gloves, clothes, etc. too... haha, I can't imagine how funny that'd look. Also, a Mr. Mime plushie is a really cool idea too-- do it, do it, do it!

I'm thinking bring a small child, stick them in a Mr. Mime cosplay, and give them a broom. At least, that's what I'd do ~^.^~
