I liked how the past reg posts in that other section were pages of questions and all in one spot apposed to having 500 different topics for each question. It is easier for staff to have it all in one place to ensure you all get answered. Also prevents questions from being asked more than once since answers will be kept in this topic.

Remember you can still email reg about problems though include your full name and user name so we can get to work helping you right away.

To be a bit more specific:

• Please look at the thread before posting here. Your question may have already been asked and answered.
  
• Please include what you were doing - specifically - and what browser you were on, if you encounter a technical problem.
  
• Please be as detailed as possible when describing your problem, so we can figure out what's going on and fix it as soon as possible.
  
• Please be aware that IE6 is not supported, IE7 makes some things look funky but still works perfectly fine, and if you're using IE8, you have no ground to stand on to complain.
  
• Please remember that we are doing all we can do to make this year's Registration run smoothly.

Some people seem to be having trouble getting the badge mailing option to appear. We believe all of these bugs are fixed now; however, if you go to register and you do not see the badge mailing option (and you'd like to order badge mailing), please do not pay until you contact us and we help you resolve the issue. While it is possible to add badge mailing after you pay, it is a little bit tedious, and we'd rather spend our time fixing the bugs than tweaking individual accounts.

Thanks for your help hammering out the errors and making this year's registration the best yet (knock on wood)!

I Pre-Registered at the convention on 5/18/08 for 2 badges

Just now I went to go and select to have the badges mailed to us and sure enough it says that I am registered and unpaid and is asking me to pay again.

since I have already paid $60.00 how do I get it to just let me pay for the mailing of the two badges?

I also spoke with Chelsea over the summer via email if that helps any

Give us a day or two to enter in the at con registrations for ACen 09, you should be marked as paid soon.

For mailing once you are marked as paid you can either select it and I believe it is possible to pay it via credit card or you can mail in a money order or check with your badge number on the memo line. You don't need to add "for mailing" on the memo line, if we see 1.50 we can assume that isn't paying for a badge

I don't know if this is the exact correct place to ask this, so please, bear with me.

I registered the other day, no problems with that by the way, and then I e-mailed JayeAoi@acen.org, with all the info the post said i needed, to see if i could get the masq ticket thing(not the ball thing); on the section of the forum in which i read to do this, it said i should get a confirmation that my email was recieved, but i didn't get a confirmation, did i do something wrong or am i just being paranoid?

It depends on what version of IE you were using. There is a list of what broswers work right in the error message. Try using one of them and you will not get that error.

sorry to be a bother but,
I went in tonight just to see if it would show up that I paid yet but it didn't so I will wait until Monday and check then
but more importantly when I click on attendee info it did not show both our names
it only shows my daughters name but not mine
will that also be updated when everything gets put into the system?

Not sure if this is the right place, but I have a question.

I'm bringing friends with me to Acen this year, and they want to pre-reg. Problem is they don't have credit cards available for use, so they'd like to mail in payment. I've never dealt with mail-in, so I'm not entirely certain how it runs. I think there was a form to fill out in the past. Does that still exist?

When you register in the system it will allow you to select mail in payment and show you the page you need to print and mail in with your payment. When mailing in make sure you put your badge number on the memo line. Payment has to be post marked for before September 30th to get the super early bird rate of 35 dollars. They check/Money order must also be dated for before September 30th to receive the 35 dollar badge price. Make sure if they want mailing that they select it on the badge options page, it is 1.50 and you get the special pretty mailed out badges instead of the normal at convention badges.

i logged on with my user name and password from last year and the system remembers me (good thing). however, i have moved since last year and i cant edit my shiping info (bad thing). it goes right to "enter badge name to complete process". how do i go back and change my address?

The part you are at is purchasing a badge. Click on attendee info on the side bar and you can edit your info there.

I want to be a bit more specific than Bloo's answer so everyone is clear on the process.

If you already have an account, the first thing the system will do is ask you to enter your badge name and select options (badge mailing, charity masquerade ball). It needs this information to complete your record in the system (as it's incomplete because the same info from last year is outdated).

After you've put this info in, it will log you in and you will be able to change your contact information (until you pay). You are also able to change your badge name and options (until you pay).

I hope this helps clear a few things up.

I'm finding that I can't edit my "Attendee Info" at all. I'll change the info and click the "Submit Changes" button, and it'll say that the changes were saved, but then I'll navigate away and come back and the info is as it was before my edit.
I can't see how this would be a problem on my end, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, and please do help if anyone knows what's going on.

Have you paid yet? I dont think you can edit info once you pay but im not 100% sure. If you want to pm me the changes I will go in and change it for you.

We'll take a look at this tonight. It's probably not a problem on your end - at least, if it were, it would be weird.

Bloo is right that you can't change your info after you've paid, but in that case it won't even give you the choice. This is an honest-to-goodness bug, and we're working on it as I type.

EDIT: We have found and fixed this bug.

I'm in charge of registering everyone in my Acen group. I just wanted to mention that when adding group members, nowhere does the system actually tell the group leader WHERE to go in order to confirm people into the group. I spent almost twenty minutes hunting around in the Group sections, only to finally see the Confirmation stuff on the main page, waaaay at the bottom. (On my computer, my browser window was just the right size to hide the confirmation stuff completely, without scrolling down.)

Something, even just a line of text in one of the Group pages, or having pending members show up in the Group listing as "Pending" would be a great help! I know it's too late to change these things now (I tried to do the 'delta' testing but it seems that never happened) but I just wanted to let you know for next year.

Overall though, the reg system is quite slick! Props to those who worked on it! <3

Yeah, we know that this was kind of weird. The intent was for it to be the first thing the group leader sees when he logs in, but somehow we forgot to put it in a more logical place too. ^^;; I don't know if we'll have time to fix it, as we have other projects (like the next version of the system, which is way in the early design stages) and work and other life-like substitutes (and, to be honest, 'fixing' this could result in some weird bugs and we don't want to have to take the system down at all this year).

Thank you! The praise really is appreciated (and I won't deny that some ego-boosting after all the bugs last year is nice). I'm glad you like it.

Oh, and on the beta test thing (I have no idea how it started being called the 'delta test'), yeah. We felt it was stable enough to throw it out there and let you-all attack it, and we wanted to get it out as soon as possible this year, not delaying it like last year. (Don't even get me started...) But I'm glad you were anxious to help with that; remind me to look you up for the next system's testing. *grin*

Razzle, I suspect you've already figured this out, but there will be one registration account per person. You and your daughter should have separate accounts. If you are only aware of the one account, talk to bloo09 to figure out what the other account should be. I know that she has entered all of the information she had, so your accounts should be there and be paid by now. She can help you if anything is still wrong.
