I'm planning on carving my own swords of my own design out of wood and sell them next year. I'm ready to start my work, but i just realized this. if i did get a table for next year, I'd be put in artists ally, and I've only seen drawings, paintings, and other nik-naks there. I'm not exactly sure if I'm allowed to sell swords of any type, even wooden.

So am i allowed to sell wooden swords?

I'm going to move this to the artist ally section so that someone from AA can help answer this question.

Yes, as long as it is your own creation.
The only stipulation is that you must preform ID checks to sell the swords. Age must be 18 or +

I think Id checks are only for real swords not wooden.

I was just about to ask that! Wooden swords would fall under the category of props since they're hall-legal, right?

I don't think the 18+ is just for metals, I'm fairly certain that local laws prohibit *any* sort of weapon to be sold to minors.

Its true. But its illegal to even sell wooden weapons to minors in some states.

I looked at the site that made the ACen Bokken and you had to be 16+ to pick it up at the convention or else a parent had to do it for you.

It is a wooden sword. Therefore it can be considered a weapon. Therefore ID check is required.
Sword = ID check.
