Personally, I prefer Digimon, but thats just me...I'm curious to see which one you guys like and why.

I used to be so into the anime but once the Hoen episodes, and anything from that point on, started coming out it killed it for me.
I'm still into the games, tho - Can't wait for Platinum!

Ok well...I loved both. Pokemon was first introduced to me as a youngin lol and then I collected the cards, and saw the series, and then I fell in love with Digimon....I cant really say which one I love more.

I liked both, but digimon's second series onward weren't so great. Pokemon episodes were still good for a while after the first series. (imo)

I was a Pokemon kid, but I kind of got into Digimon for a little while, approximately the first couple of seasons, I believe.. I currently can't stand Pokemon, as it just needs to die or the characters need to, you know, EVOLVE *gasp!* and I'm talking about the humans, too..

And yes, I will probably get whatever new Pokegame version comes out, I've enjoyed them.

But the first season of Digi was soooo much better and engaging.

I like both, though some seasons of both seemed to have killed it. I loved Digimon with the original characters but then it got into things where the kids could become Digimon like creatures and it got slightly annoying. I liked the feeling that the Digimon and Digidestined had, you know their bond. Then with Pokemon you've got the entire thin where it goes on with Ash, though he never seems to age, and then everyone loves Pikachu.

They both have their pros and cons. Frankly I still have a bunch of Pokemon cards. I also have a bunch of Digimon and Pokemon little figures. I keep the ones that are important to me, mainly the actual figurines of Tai, Matt, etc., while some of the others my little nephews like to play with. ^^;

Pokemon. XD I love the games, although I've outgrown the cards and stopped watching the TV show, like many had said, once it headed off to the Hoenn region. I'll still watch the older series and movies though; those still freaking rule.

Digimon was all right; I liked the first two series, but once it got to the third one where the card game became part of the show, I was like "...What the heck is this?" and pretty much grew out of it. =P

Ahhh yes, Monster Rancher. That was consistently great stuff there... I can't exactly ermember how it ends though, it might've gotten booted before that.

I remember when this was the debate to end all debates (in sixth grade). As for my opinion, Digimon will always have me. But as Pantsless Roxas said, depending on the medium it's a mixed opinion:

1. Obviously the Pokemon card game was WAY more popular than the Digimon card game, but I was never much for the card games.

2. Game wise, Pokemon definitely pwns. My first Game Boy Color game was Pokemon Yellow. I'm playing Diamond right now, actually.

3. Show wise, Digimon FTW, mainly because the characters actually had hormones on that show. With Pokemon you have a creepy time-warp thing going on and they don't even so much as change clothes. And the people on Digimon had actual problems. Divorced parents, past guilt, family secrets...my cup of tea.

4. Movie wise...meh for either of them. With Digimon there was only one, and all of a sudden they're in New York, then Colorado, and all over the Internet. With Pokemon they just kept making more, the majority of them about rare Pokemon or some demented Pokemon collector or something like that.

Overall, I like it when things don't get TOO popular, then it becomes oversaturated and you start getting sick of it. That was basically the case with me and Pokemon. Still, I don't mind the games...

I love Digimon because the pairing I like came true... I like impossible pairings so it shocked me when they actually got together in season two. haha (you guys will hate me for this)

I used to really like Pokemon but it never ends!!!!!!! I got sad every time I thought it was about end but it never did and now I'm just really tired. Ash was 10 when I was 10... I'm friggin turning 20 in 3 months!

Wow. it's split 50/50. I have to say Digimon. While I still play my old pokemon games I don't like any of the new pokemon. I still love digimon though.

I liked Pokemon before Digimon. I do think that the Pokemon dub is better than the Digimon dub. The Japanese versions of both I love equally.

xD I didn't have cable growing up, and Digimon was on Fox was Pokemon was on Cartoon Network. While I like the Pokemon games, I never really got into the series itself.

I do <3 Digimon though, especially the 1st/2nd season. I agree that it got rather "meh" after that, but nothing beats the original.

digimon the show for i love and some games as well. the character actually grow up.

pokemon games are good as well, but the show is nothing but repeats of old storylines with new pokemon and team rocket need to quit or die.

pokemon won't stop making movies, where as digimon had 3 and they were all great.

also the digivice made digital pets cool. although the new games kinda copy pokemon, it has much digimon appeal to them

as for both though, i would love if they made a game that you were the evil digmon collecting othere digimon with black rings and such or if you were part of team rocket, galactic, magma, aqua. and had to go on missions

The biggist thing I've noticed espically in the pokemon movies. After the third one the quality of animemation went down. I came over to a friends house and see was watching...*thinks* danm. Can't remember. Something with luminos and lumina something like that. Anyway I walked in and said "which episode is this?" and she said, "it's not a episode. It's one of the movies. Can't you tell?" "Nope".
