Personal I love them, they are easier to understand and sing along with. I love to listen to anime openings/endings redubbed in English by Cristina Vee on YouTube.

I hooked a cable from my portable DVD player's headphone jack to my computer's microphone port and used Audacity to record them. If you want I could send them to you. Somehow....not really sure how, but we can figure it out!

Oh, that would be great! I need to buy a Case Closed DVD, lol. I only have the movie and not the episodes.

:D Seriously, it's so cute to hear! It never sounds as good to sing English lyrics of Japanese songs "properly", versus Engrish.

"Change the World" wasn't too bad, but the same group did them in both English and Japanese. I second the motion of Sonia's theme from Tenchi. (Got that one on my iPod!)

I think if they can get the same singer to do both languages, then that's fine. What's bad is when they try to have an English-speaking VA sing a Japanese song with English lyrics. Case in point: the godawful attempt at redubbing "Konya wa Hurricane" from BGC. The word terrible doesn't really begin to describe it.

Akeboshi didn't sing Rocks; Hound Dog did. Akeboshi did Wind and Yellow Moon.

Ahh I meant "Wind", thanks. :wacko: Just thought of another engrish song: "Tell Me Why" by the Penpals (Berserk opening). Those lyrics, at least, I can make out. Not that they make sense...

I don't really watch dubs, but I suppose anything will be better than Minmei. Good grief.

That's my question too. XD I didn't know there was English versions of FMA themes. I'd love to find some though!

There's ONE version of Ready, Steady, Go. It's nearly impossible to find, though. My friend let me listen to it, and it was fricking amazing. I'm not exactly sure how he got it, though. I could ask him when I see him today.

I want to listen! Ready Steady Go! is one of my favorite songs from FMA and hearing it in English would be freaking sweet. ^^
