A Judge In New Zeland agreed with a 9-yeard old girl and requested that her name be changed. Her name was originally "Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii." Yes, that was her actual name. Some other goofy names have been given to other children there. A pair of twins wer named Benson and Hedges, Violence, and No. 16 Bus Shelter. In the US Jason "My Name Is Earl" named thier kid and I kid you not "Pilot Inspector."

Yeah thats gonna look really good in a job interview.... <_<

 I just finished reading that article!

I think the court made her a ward of the state so she (Talula...) could have her name changed. How embarrassing... I think that's worse than the "ghetto baby names" here in the states!

Personally I love the name Moxie Crimefighter. Apple is a lame name IMO, but her whole name is worse: Apple Blythe Alison Martin  "Apple Blythe" sounds like some sort of mold affecting apple trees.

Moxie Crimefighter does have a nice flow to it, but it sounds like an all-girl punk-rock band.

Has anyone ever read the book "Freakonomics"? They had a chapter on baby names and some of the worse names ever.

One of them was a girl name Shithead (pronounced shun-TEED). There was a set of twin boys named LemonJello (pronounced le-MON-zhello) and OrangeJello (a-RON-zhello). Also some man by the name of Robert Lane decide to name his first son Winner while his seventh (also last) son Loser.

::le sigh:: Oh geez, not the "OrangeJello and LemonJello twins" story again... That is such an old joke I can't believe there are people who still believe itwas true.

Yeah I was going to post a link to Snopes for that one but they only mention the Lemonjello thing in passing so I didn't bother.

How about Frank Zappa's kids? Moon Unit and Dweezil? (Kids: don't do drugs. If you do, don't have children.)

Good friend of mine named his son (born on ACen weekend this year!) Leonidas. Yes, after the Spartan king, and yes, because he thinks 300 is the best movie ever.

But I can't criticize too much. If I ever had a daughter, I'd be highly tempted to name her either Aurora or Miriya. Both are pretty names, but both are also Robotech characters. The weird thing is, someone's already beat me to that. The little girl who opened ACen '05 was named Lynn Minmei something.

Wouldn't matter anyway. Any daughter of mine is bound to be very screwed up to begin with.
