For those who don't know PiQ magazine was canceled due to suppose to "a combination of low advertising revenue, poor business management and a lack of proper marketing and promotion all hamstrung the magazine from the start."

Not really trying to bad mouth PiQ magzine but, come on they tried to replace Newtype USA with a broader non-sport magazine that was almost as cookie cutter as many other magzines on the same subjects (ie, GEEK Monthly or Play ). Even from the start , there was fan backlash from it's almost with out warning replacement of a great ( even though kinda pricey )magazine. They had the gall to right off the bat have in their repalcement magazine an article on the Death of Anime. Ya, thats a great way to win over fans of an Anime Magazine.
It will be interesting to see how long it will take them to refund subscriptions.

I mean don't get me wrong I actually was getting use to it, but I'm not that surpised that it was canceled.

I agree with pretty much everything you wrote there. I miss Newtype, and while PiQ wasn't a page-for-page replacement, it was something to read.

I wonder how they will handle the subscription refunds. Hopefully that won't be a big mess. Now I need something else to read.
