So I actually made some progress on my Assignment Ada cosplay. I really do hope to get it done this time around; Ive put it off for so long.
Ill probably wear it Friday night, and maybe, just maybe, I can slip into it after the masq if anyone is still lurking around in their RE costumes and wants to take some photos.
How's everyone else's progress coming along?

My fundraising is going a little better, but I have no means by which to pay Acen because of the 'DON'T MAIL CASH!' thing. So it sucks. I'm going to look into opening an account at the student-run credit union branch at my school, saving up my money might take too long to make the regular rate deadline. D;

AHAHA I FINALLY BOUGHT MY AUSTRIA COAAAT. -evil cackle-
Now I don't have to make it! Whoohoo. And all I have to do to get it ship shape for Austria is paint the buttons and glue some lace onto the cuffs... And order my wig and get a cravat. =D

I think I've seen some tutorial where a person used jewelry wire and glued hair wrapped around the wire.. then affixed the wire to the wig and bent as needed. I'm probably going to try that when my friends come running to me about how to do the ahoge for their North and South Italy cosplay lol

I had to do a big curlicue for Rip Van Winkle from Hellsing last year, basically what I did was I lathered that thing up with intense hold hair gel, and then wrapped it around a toiler paper roll (how un-glamorous xD).
I think if you use enough hairspray and hair cement you can get it to stick out without the use of wire, but it takes a bit more time.
I would just be careful with a curler in case you melt the fabric of the wig.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm probably gonna experiment soon on the wig. I still have to buy Italy's material, but at least I have the wig already.

I'm actually have been debating on doing a Resident Evil 2 Ada Wong cosplay. I'm finally revisiting Resident Evil 2 and seeing her clothing, I actually fallen inlove with her once again. So you might see an Resident Evil 2 Ada Wong running around!
